Renting a truck on TruckGuru means one truck, one driver and one load, from your pickup to your delivery point. You pay for the trip, not by the day or the month. Every rental is a full truck load above 100 km, so the truck carries only your goods and goes straight to the consignee.
What you do not get here: self-drive trucks, trucks without a driver, space in someone else's truck, or deliveries within a city. If that is what you need, a local tempo operator is the better call.

What Does It Actually Cost?
Truck rental rates are not fixed. The trip fare depends on the route, the truck, the cargo, the pickup date and how many trucks are free on that lane that week.
TruckGuru quotes a trip fare at booking, with toll included. Here is one busy lane as an example.

What the Rental Includes
- The truck and a driver for the full trip
- Fuel and toll, inside the trip fare
- GPS tracking from loading to delivery
- A digital Lorry Receipt at loading and a GST invoice after delivery
Not included: loading and unloading labour, which you arrange at both ends, and transit insurance, which the shipper takes out. If the truck waits at your gate for hours, waiting charges apply, so keep the goods, invoice and e-way bill ready before it arrives.
How Renting a Truck Works
- Enter your pickup city, destination and load weight on truckguru.co.in or in the TruckGuru app.
- Pick the truck and check the trip fare.
- Confirm the booking. We call you back within 30 minutes during working hours: Monday to Saturday 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Sunday 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
- You get the driver's name, vehicle number and phone number before pickup.
- Follow the truck on GPS until it reaches your consignee.
When to Book
On busy lanes such as Ahmedabad to Mumbai, a truck is usually confirmed the same day. October to December is different. Festival stock and year-end dispatches fill trucks fast, so book 2 to 3 days ahead, and earlier for a 32 ft container.
Rent the truck for the weight, not for the space your goods seem to take. A half-empty 19 ft truck costs almost as much as a full one, so if the load is 3 tonnes, a 14 ft Eicher is usually the better rental.

Can I rent a truck without a driver?
No. Every truck on TruckGuru comes with its driver. Self-drive truck rental is not offered.
Is rental charged per day or per trip?
Per trip. The fare covers the run from your pickup to the delivery point, with toll included. Rates are not fixed, so check the live rate for your route when you book.
What does it cost to rent a 14 ft Eicher from Ahmedabad to Mumbai?
A 14FT Eicher from Ahmedabad to Mumbai, about 530 km, is indicatively Rs.16,400 - Rs.18,600 for the trip, toll included (checked October 2026). Rates are not fixed; confirm the current rate at booking.
What is the smallest truck I can rent?
The Tata Ace, which carries up to 1,100 kg. For loads up to 1.5 tonnes, rent a Bada Dost or Mahindra Pickup.
Can I rent a truck for a delivery within my city?
No. TruckGuru rents full trucks for routes above 100 km only.
Can I share the truck with another shipper's goods?
No. Every rental is a full truck for your goods only.
Who loads and unloads the truck?
You or your consignee. The rental covers the truck, driver, fuel and toll, not labour.
What are the payment terms?
Payment is split into three parts: Booking Amount at booking confirmation, 90% at loading once the truck reaches the pickup location, and the remaining Balance at delivery before unloading begins. Accepted: NEFT, IMPS, UPI (PhonePe, GPay), and major debit and credit cards. No cash payments accepted.
