Vahak Transport vs TruckGuru – Which Truck Booking Platform Is Better?

Book Truck Transport Online

Vahak Transport vs TruckGuru

Vahak and TruckGuru are both logistics platforms operating in India, but they work on different models and serve different users.

TruckGuru is operated from Vadodara, Gujarat, and was built specifically for B2B shippers who needed to know the freight rate before the truck arrived — not after it was loaded. The platform handles FTL (Full Truck Load — where the entire truck is exclusively yours from pickup to delivery, with no other shipper's goods sharing the vehicle) intercity bookings across 110+ cities, covering Tata Ace (750 kg) up to 32ft container (15 tonnes). Every truck goes through document and registration verification before listing.

Short answer on the comparison: Vahak is a marketplace where shippers post loads and transporters negotiate rates. TruckGuru is a direct booking platform where the rate is confirmed before dispatch and does not change at invoice. Which one you need depends on what side of that difference matters to your operation.

Key point: Vahak = load marketplace with negotiated rates. TruckGuru = direct booking with confirmed rate before dispatch.

How Vahak Transport Works

Vahak is a logistics marketplace that connects shippers, transporters, fleet owners, and brokers. The core model is load exchange — shippers post freight requirements, transporters post available trucks, and both sides connect to negotiate rates and terms. Vahak does not fix or guarantee the rate before the truck is dispatched.

India's trucking sector has approximately 9 million trucks and is dominated by small fleet owners — 70% of truck operators in India own 5 vehicles or fewer (Source: Ministry of Road Transport and Highways). Platforms like Vahak address the coordination problem for this fragmented market by giving fleet owners a place to find freight without relying entirely on brokers. Vahak has over 20 lakh registered transporters and 8 lakh trucks on the platform (Source: Vahak), making it one of the largest transport community networks in India.

Vahak is most actively used by:

  • Fleet owners looking for return loads after completing a delivery

  • Transport brokers managing freight on behalf of multiple clients

  • Transporters searching for new freight opportunities across corridors

  • Smaller shippers comfortable with rate negotiation before booking

Key point: Vahak works best for the supply side of Indian freight — transporters and brokers looking for loads. It is a tool for finding freight, not confirming it at a fixed rate.

How TruckGuru Works

TruckGuru is a direct FTL truck booking platform for B2B shippers. There is no load posting, no bidding, and no negotiation. You enter your route, select a truck size, see the freight rate for that specific route, and confirm the booking. The rate at confirmation is the rate on your invoice.

The platform covers intercity FTL movement only — from a Tata Ace at 750 kg up to a 32ft container at 15 tonnes. All trucks are verified before listing. GPS tracking is live on every dispatched booking. Every confirmed booking generates a digital GST invoice and an LR (Lorry Receipt — the standard transport document that travels with the goods and serves as proof of dispatch) that travels with the consignment.

TruckGuru operates across Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Surat, Indore, Kolkata, Vadodara, and 100+ connecting cities. The most active corridors are Delhi–Mumbai (1,414 km), Ahmedabad–Mumbai (524 km), and Chennai–Hyderabad (630 km).

Check what your route costs before committing: freight calculator.

Key point: TruckGuru shows the freight rate before you confirm the booking. That rate is what appears on your invoice — no revision after loading.

Vahak Transport vs TruckGuru — Key Differences

FTL scope FTL and part-load options FTL intercity only — no part-load
Best for Finding loads, brokers, fleet operators Businesses wanting confirmed rate before dispatch

Key point: The core difference — Vahak settles the rate between two parties after posting. TruckGuru fixes the rate before the truck is dispatched.

Which Platform Is Right for Your Business

Vahak works well for fleet owners looking for return loads, brokers managing freight on behalf of multiple clients, and transporters wanting to expand their customer base. Its marketplace model is useful for shippers in markets where truck availability is variable and negotiating directly with operators gives better access to vehicles.

For businesses that move commercial goods on intercity FTL routes and need a confirmed rate before the truck is dispatched, TruckGuru is the right fit. A textile exporter in Surat booking a weekly 14ft truck to Delhi, a pharma distributor in Hyderabad dispatching to Chennai stockists, or an FMCG company running regular 32ft container loads out of Mumbai to Bangalore — these are the typical TruckGuru use cases. The rate shown at booking is the rate billed. No revision after loading.

Key point: If you are on the demand side of freight — a shipper who books trucks regularly — TruckGuru's confirmed-rate model eliminates the negotiation cycle on every booking.

What TruckGuru Freight Rates Look Like

India's intercity freight rates are influenced by diesel prices, route demand, truck availability, and seasonal cycles. Q4 (October to December) consistently runs higher on most corridors due to festival and harvest season demand. Diesel price fluctuations of Rs. 5–8 per litre can shift per-km freight rates by 10–15%.

Working benchmarks across TruckGuru's verified fleet (Q2 2026, subject to diesel price and corridor demand):

Truck Load Capacity Approx. Rate per km
Tata Ace 750 kg Rs. 12–20 per km
Bada Dost / Chota Hathi 1.5 tonnes Rs. 12–20 per km
14 ft Truck (Eicher/Tata) 3.5 tonnes Rs. 18–28 per km
20 ft Truck 7 tonnes Rs. 28–35 per km
32 ft Container 15 tonnes Rs. 45–65 per km

On a Vahak booking, the final rate depends on what the transporter accepts at the time of the load posting — it can be higher or lower than these benchmarks depending on truck availability on that corridor that day. On TruckGuru, the rate shown at booking does not change at invoice.

Key point: A 14ft truck on Delhi–Jaipur (280 km) typically costs Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 9,000 on TruckGuru. A 32ft container on Mumbai–Bangalore (987 km) falls between Rs. 45,000 and Rs. 65,000.

Routes Where TruckGuru Operates

FAQs — Vahak Transport vs TruckGuru

What is Vahak transport?
Vahak transport is a logistics marketplace that connects shippers, transporters, brokers, and fleet owners across India. The platform works on a load exchange model — shippers post freight requirements, transporters respond with availability, and both sides negotiate rates. Vahak does not fix or confirm the freight rate before the truck is dispatched.

Is Vahak transport better than TruckGuru?
They serve different users. Vahak is better for transporters, brokers, and fleet operators who want to find freight through a marketplace. TruckGuru is better for businesses that need a confirmed freight rate before dispatch — no negotiation, no rate revision at invoice. The right choice depends on whether you are the supply side (transporter) or demand side (shipper) of the freight transaction.

Can I get a confirmed rate on TruckGuru before the truck arrives?
Yes. The rate shown on the freight calculator is confirmed at booking and does not change at invoice. No fuel surcharges are added at pickup, no loading fees after dispatch.

What is FTL and does TruckGuru offer PTL?
FTL (Full Truck Load) means the entire truck is booked exclusively for your consignment — the vehicle goes directly from your pickup point to your destination, no stops, no co-loading. PTL (Part Truck Load) means your goods share space with other consignments. TruckGuru handles FTL only. PTL or part-load freight is not offered here.

Does TruckGuru verify trucks and drivers?
Every truck listed on TruckGuru goes through document and registration verification before being made available for booking. You receive the driver's name, vehicle number, and direct contact at the time of booking confirmation. No unregistered operators on the platform.

Does TruckGuru provide GST invoices?
Yes. Every confirmed booking generates a digital invoice with the full GST breakup. This is needed for businesses claiming input tax credit on freight costs. An LR (Lorry Receipt) is also generated digitally at pickup and travels with the goods as proof of dispatch.

Does TruckGuru work like Vahak — can I post a load and get bids?
No. TruckGuru does not work on a load posting or bidding model. You select a truck, see the confirmed rate for your route, and confirm the booking. There is no back-and-forth with transporters.

What truck types are available on TruckGuru?
Bolero Pick-Up (1 ton), Bada Dost (1.5 tonnes), 14 ft truck (3.5 tonnes), 20 ft truck (7 tonnes), and 32 ft container (15 tonnes). All five are available for FTL intercity bookings across 110+ cities. Full specs on the truck type guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

TruckGuru LLP is a full truckload (FTL) intercity truck booking platform with offices in Vadodara and Bangalore, covering 110+ cities across India. We show you the freight cost before you book, match the right truck to your cargo, and handle the booking from pickup to delivery.

Three ways: book online at truckguru.co.in, use the TruckGuru app, or call 72020 45678. Enter your pickup and drop city, select the truck type, and check the estimated fare. Once you confirm, pay the token amount and our team places the vehicle at your pickup location.

Use the freight calculator on our website -- enter the pickup city, drop city, and truck type. You will see an estimated fare instantly. No login needed, no obligation. The final rate is confirmed by our executive after verifying your exact locations, material weight, and goods type.

Tata Ace (1,250 kg), Bada Dost and Mahindra Pickup (up to 1.5 ton), Eicher 14ft (3.5 ton), 17ft (5 ton), 19ft (7 ton), 20ft Container (6.5 ton), and 32ft Container in SXL (7-8 ton), MXL (16 ton), and MXL (18 ton) variants. Not sure which fits your load? Call us and our team will recommend the right vehicle based on weight and volume.

A token amount at booking confirmation, 90% of the fare at the time of loading, and the remaining balance at the destination before unloading. We accept NEFT, IMPS, UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), and all major debit and credit cards.

No. The website shows an estimated cost based on standard distance. The final fare is confirmed by our executive after verifying your exact pickup and drop location, material weight, and goods type. On most routes the final rate stays close to the estimate, but it can vary for off-highway locations or routes requiring detours.

If the truck reaches your location and loading is delayed, waiting charges range from Rs.1,000 to Rs.5,000 per day depending on the vehicle type. If the vehicle is not loaded and returns empty, the customer must pay driver fuel charges plus the waiting charge.

GST on goods transport is payable under the Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) at 5%. The shipper is responsible for filing and paying the GST, not TruckGuru. Our invoices are GST-compliant and sent to your registered email after delivery.

The consignor or consignee must generate Part A and Part B of the e-Way Bill before the goods move. This is mandatory for consignments valued above Rs.50,000. TruckGuru does not generate the e-Way Bill on your behalf.

Yes. Call 72020 45678 to request cancellation. Once vehicle or driver details have been shared, the booking amount is non-refundable. If the truck has already been dispatched, no refund is issued and fuel charges apply. Approved cancellations are refunded (minus cancellation fee) within 7 working days.

Our service covers transportation only. If you need labour for loading or unloading, we can help arrange it at extra cost, but we do not guarantee third-party labour services. The quoted freight rate does not include labour charges.

No. TruckGuru provides full truckload (FTL) intercity goods transport only. We do not handle parcels, courier, bike transport, car transport, household shifting, or within-city local deliveries.

Tips for Booking a Truck

Start with the weight and type of goods you need to move, not the truck size. A 2-ton consignment fits an Eicher 14FT (3.5T capacity), while anything above 7 tons usually needs a 32FT container. Picking the right vehicle upfront saves you from paying for space you do not use.

Always get a confirmed rate before the truck is dispatched. On TruckGuru, the price shown at booking is the price you pay. The payment split is 5% at booking, 90% at loading, and 5% before unloading. If any platform or broker tries to revise the rate at the loading dock, treat that as a red flag.

Check that the transporter provides live GPS tracking and digital documentation including LR, invoice, and POD. Calling the driver every few hours for location updates wastes time, especially on high-volume corridors where even a small delay can throw off your warehouse unloading schedule.

Book 2 to 3 days ahead when possible. Same-day availability is common on most routes, but during October to December peak season, trucks on busy corridors fill up fast. Advance booking also gives you better vehicle options for goods that need closed-body or containerised transport.
