Online Truck Booking and Goods Transportation Services in India

Most businesses that ship goods intercity have hit the same wall: you call a broker, get a number over the phone, and by the time the truck is loaded, the bill looks nothing like what was discussed. That gap between quoted and billed is exactly why TruckGuru exists.

Check the freight rate on your route before you commit to anything. Book a verified truck online. Track it in real time. No broker in the middle, no surprises on the invoice. Use the freight calculator.

If your business moves 500 kg or more per consignment on a regular intercity route, that is the exact situation we built this for. The fleet goes from a Tata Ace handling 1250 kg up to a 32ft container at 15 tonnes, which covers the bulk of B2B intercity freight without needing to juggle multiple vendors.

How Booking Works

You do not need to call anyone. Enter your route details, see what is available with rates attached, pick your truck, and confirm. That is the entire process.

  1. Enter pickup city, drop city, cargo type, and schedule
  2. Choose the truck size that matches your load -- see the truck size guide if you are unsure
  3. See the confirmed rate for that specific route -- no hidden add-ons
  4. Confirm the booking -- no advance deposit needed at inquiry stage
  5. Track via GPS once the truck is on the road
  6. Get delivery confirmation and invoice after drop-off

If you are shipping the same corridor every week or month, recurring bookings are available so you skip the selection process each time. Works on web and mobile.

Available Truck Sizes

The right truck depends on your cargo weight and volume. For full dimensions and load capacity details, see the truck size guide.

Routes We Cover

We move freight across India's major commercial corridors. The busiest routes connect manufacturing and distribution hubs -- Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad, and Kolkata see bookings daily.

Most active routes:

  • Delhi to Mumbai -- 1,400 km, 2-3 days transit
  • Ahmedabad to Mumbai -- 530 km, 1 day transit
  • Delhi to Bangalore -- 2,150 km, 3-4 days
  • Chennai to Hyderabad -- 630 km, 1 day transit
  • Pune to Coimbatore -- 1,100 km, 2-3 days
  • Kolkata to Delhi -- 1,500 km, 3-4 days

Smaller city lanes may have a 1-2 day dispatch gap depending on truck availability at origin. When you search your route on the truck booking online page, live availability is shown for that date.

Pricing -- What You See Is What You Pay

Freight rates depend on route distance, truck category, load weight, and how far in advance you are booking. The rate shown at booking is the rate on your invoice. No fuel surcharges, no loading fees added after the fact.

A 14ft truck on Delhi-Jaipur (280 km) typically runs Rs. 6,000-9,000. A 32ft container on Mumbai-Bangalore falls in the Rs. 55,000-75,000 range. Diesel prices move rates. Q4 demand pushes them higher across most corridors. And if a particular lane is tight that week, you will see that reflected in the quote before you confirm anything. Check what your route costs on the freight calculator before you commit.

Documentation

Intercity freight has a standard set of paperwork requirements. We handle the transport side digitally.

The LR (Lorry Receipt) travels with the goods and is generated at dispatch -- if a transporter cannot produce one, that is a problem worth knowing upfront. We generate it digitally so there is no paperwork scramble at pickup. The digital invoice carries the full GST breakup. For consignments above Rs. 50,000 in value, e-way bill support is included. A delivery receipt is issued after drop-off and closes the consignment record on both ends.

If your cargo needs additional permits -- pharmaceutical cold chain, hazardous materials, certain agri produce -- those are on the shipper's side. We handle the transport compliance.

Who This Works Best For

The typical shipper on TruckGuru has a regular route and moves goods at least once or twice a month. That might be a manufacturer dispatching finished goods to a warehouse in another state, a trader restocking retail inventory from a supplier city, an e-commerce business moving stock between fulfilment centres, or an industrial buyer pulling raw materials from a supplier location on a fixed schedule.

We do FTL only. If you want to share truck space with other consignments, that is part-load freight and it is not something we offer here. For businesses exploring the full range of vehicle options, the truck type guide is a good starting point.

Transportation Services FAQ

Service Scope

1. What type of transportation services does TruckGuru provide?

TruckGuru provides B2B full truckload (FTL) intercity goods transportation across India. Businesses, manufacturers, and traders book trucks for commercial freight moving between cities on routes above 100 km. Part-load freight, household shifting, local city delivery, and automobile transport are not offered on this platform.

2. Does TruckGuru offer part-load freight, household shifting, or local delivery?

No. TruckGuru is an FTL intercity platform only. Part-load (PTL/LTL), household relocation, within-city delivery, and vehicle transport are outside the scope of this service. Every booking covers one truck, one consignment, one shipper, for routes above 100 km.

3. Which businesses use TruckGuru transportation services most?

Manufacturers dispatching finished goods, distributors restocking retail inventory, FMCG companies moving stock between fulfilment hubs, pharmaceutical companies shipping to hospital procurement networks, and industrial buyers sourcing raw materials on fixed schedules are the primary users. Any business moving commercial goods intercity on regular corridors benefits from confirmed pricing before dispatch.

Freight Rates and Payment

4. How are intercity freight charges calculated?

TruckGuru charges by the kilometre -- not per kg, not per carton, not by item count. The trip cost is the distance between your pickup and delivery city multiplied by the per-km rate for the truck category selected. Toll charges are paid separately during the journey. The rate displayed in the freight calculator before booking is exactly the rate that appears on your invoice.

5. Do freight charges change after a booking is confirmed?

No. The rate confirmed at booking does not change between confirmation and delivery. No fuel surcharges, loading fees, or gate charges are added after the booking is locked. Toll charges are separate from the invoice and are paid during transit by the driver.

6. Is an advance deposit required to check rates or book a truck?

No advance deposit is required to check rates or truck availability. The freight calculator on the website and app shows live rates for any route without requiring payment. Payment begins at 5% of the trip cost at booking confirmation, 90% at loading, and 5% after proof of delivery.

Truck Sizes and Load Capacity

7. What truck sizes and load capacities are available?

Five categories are available for intercity FTL booking:

Tata Ace / Bada Dost / Mahindra Pickup: up to 1.25T (1,250 kg). Eicher 14ft: 3.5Ton. Eicher 17ft: 5Ton. Eicher 19ft: 7Ton. 20ft truck: 6.5T. 32ft container: 7Ton, 16T, or 18T depending on tonnage tier. Match your verified cargo weight to the right category before booking -- overloading creates checkpost compliance issues on intercity routes.

8. How do I choose the right truck size for my consignment?

Weigh your cargo before booking -- never estimate. Select the smallest category that safely carries your verified weight: up to 1.25T (Tata Ace or Bada Dost), 1.25T-3.5T (14ft Eicher), 3.5T-6.5T (20ft truck), above 6.5T (32ft container). Oversizing adds Rs. 10-15 per extra km on every route. See the truck size guide for full load limits and body dimensions.

Routes, Coverage, and Documentation

9. Which cities and corridors does TruckGuru cover?

Major commercial and industrial corridors covered include Delhi-Mumbai, Ahmedabad-Mumbai, Delhi-Bangalore, Chennai-Hyderabad, Pune-Coimbatore, and Kolkata-Delhi. Tier-2 cities including Vadodara, Surat, Nagpur, Indore, Coimbatore, Visakhapatnam, Jamnagar, and Rajkot are also served. Less-frequent corridors may have a 1-2 day dispatch gap depending on truck availability at the origin city.

10. What documents are included with every TruckGuru shipment?

Every consignment includes a digitally generated Lorry Receipt (LR) at dispatch, a GST-compliant invoice, e-way bill support for shipments above Rs. 50,000, and a digital delivery receipt after drop-off. Industry-specific permits -- pharmaceutical approvals, hazardous material clearances, or state-specific agricultural produce permits -- are the shipper's responsibility and must be provided before the truck departs.

11. What factors affect truck availability on a specific route?

Route demand volume, seasonal freight peaks (post-harvest agricultural belts, Q4 manufacturing dispatches, festival restocking), fleet positioning at origin city, and booking lead time all affect availability. High-frequency corridors like Mumbai-Delhi or Ahmedabad-Pune have consistent same-day availability. Remote origin cities and low-frequency corridors benefit from 2-3 days advance booking.

Booking and Tracking

12. Can I track my shipment in real time after dispatch?

Yes. Once the truck is dispatched, GPS tracking is live through the TruckGuru platform and mobile app. You can check the consignment's current location at any point during transit. A delivery confirmation is issued automatically once the truck unloads at the destination, and the digital invoice closes the consignment record.

13. How early do I need to book an intercity truck?

On high-frequency corridors such as Delhi to Mumbai or Ahmedabad to Mumbai, same-day or next-day trucks are typically available. For less-active routes or smaller origin cities, booking 2-3 days in advance secures better vehicle availability and avoids rate pressure during seasonal demand spikes. For Q4 and post-harvest peaks on agricultural corridors, book 4-5 days ahead.

14. Can I set up recurring bookings for the same route?

Yes. Businesses shipping the same corridor weekly or monthly can set up recurring bookings on the TruckGuru platform to skip manual truck selection on repeat trips. This is available through both the web platform and the mobile app at truckguru.co.in.

Call 72020 45678 if you have a specific corridor, a recurring freight requirement, or a load that does not fit neatly into one of the standard truck categories.

Frequently Asked Questions

TruckGuru LLP is a full truckload (FTL) intercity truck booking platform with offices in Vadodara, Gujarat and Bangalore, Karnataka. We work directly with businesses across India -- no brokers, no middlemen. If you need to move commercial goods from one city to another, we match the right truck to your load and show you the freight cost before you book.

We do one thing: full truckload intercity goods transport. Here is what that includes:

  • Online truck booking -- website, app, or phone
  • Upfront freight rate estimation via our fare calculator
  • Vehicle matching based on load weight and volume
  • Shipment status updates from dispatch to delivery
  • Digital documentation -- invoice, LR, and POD to your email

We do not handle part loads, parcels, courier, household shifting, automobile transport, or warehousing.

Three ways:

  1. Website -- go to truckguru.co.in, enter your pickup and drop city, select the truck type, and check the estimated fare.
  2. App -- download the TruckGuru app from Play Store, register, and follow the same steps.
  3. Phone -- call 72020 45678 and our executive will take your details over the call.

Once you confirm, pay the token amount via UPI, NEFT, or IMPS. Our team verifies your details and places the vehicle at your pickup location.

Use the freight calculator on our website -- enter the pickup city, drop city, and truck type. You will see an estimated fare instantly. No login needed, no obligation to book. The final rate is confirmed by our executive after verifying your exact locations, material weight, and goods type. On most routes, the final fare stays close to the online estimate.

No. The website and app show an estimated cost based on standard distance calculations. The final fare is confirmed by our executive after verifying your exact pickup and drop location, material weight, and goods type. The fare can vary for off-highway locations or routes that require detours. Nothing is charged without your confirmation first.

We cover the full range of commercial vehicles for FTL intercity transport:

  • Tata Ace (1,250 kg) -- for smaller commercial loads
  • Bada Dost / Mahindra Pickup -- up to 1.5 ton
  • Eicher 14ft (3.5 ton) -- closed body for weather-sensitive goods
  • Eicher 17ft (5 ton) and 19ft (7 ton)
  • 20ft Container (6.5 ton)
  • 32ft Container -- SXL (7-8 ton), MXL (16 ton), and MXL (18 ton)

Not sure which fits your load? Share the weight and volume with our team and they will recommend the right vehicle.

FTL means the entire truck is booked for your goods alone -- no sharing space with other shippers. The truck picks up from your location and goes straight to the destination without stopping for other consignments. This is the only service TruckGuru offers. We do not handle part loads (PTL) or shared shipments. FTL means faster transit, fewer handling points, and lower risk of damage.

Payment is split into three parts: a token amount at booking confirmation, 90% of the fare at the time of loading once the truck reaches your pickup location, and the remaining balance at the destination before unloading begins. We accept NEFT, IMPS, UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), and all major debit and credit cards.

GST on goods transport is payable under the Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) at 5%. This means the shipper (you) is responsible for filing and paying the GST on the transport service, not TruckGuru. Our invoices are GST-compliant and include all the details your accounts team needs for filing.

The consignor or consignee must generate Part A and Part B of the e-Way Bill before the goods move. This is mandatory under GST rules for consignments valued above Rs.50,000. TruckGuru does not generate the e-Way Bill on your behalf, but our team can guide you through the process if needed.

A GST-compliant invoice is auto-generated and sent to your registered email once the consignment is delivered. The LR (Lorry Receipt) is shared at the time of dispatch. If your accounts team needs a specific format or a consolidated monthly statement for multiple shipments, write to cs@truckguru.co.in.

If the truck reaches your location and loading is delayed, waiting charges range from Rs.1,000 to Rs.5,000 per day depending on the vehicle type. If the vehicle is not loaded at all and returns empty, the customer must pay the driver's fuel charges plus the applicable waiting charge. Keep your goods and paperwork (GST invoice, e-Way Bill, packing list) ready before the truck arrives to avoid delays.

Yes. We accept bookings with as little as one hour's notice, but booking 24-48 hours ahead gives us a better chance of matching the exact truck type you need -- especially for 32ft containers or during peak months like October to December. For businesses with regular shipments, we also arrange scheduled pickups on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

Yes. Call 72020 45678 to request cancellation. Once vehicle or driver details have been shared with you, the booking amount is non-refundable. If the truck has already been dispatched toward your location, no refund is issued and the customer is liable for fuel charges. If the cancellation is accepted before dispatch, a cancellation fee applies and the refund is processed within 7 working days.

We transport commercial and industrial goods -- machinery, raw materials, FMCG products, textiles, auto parts, building materials, electronics, and agriculture produce. We do not transport household shifting items, personal belongings for relocation, hazardous materials requiring special permits, or any restricted goods under Indian transport regulations.

Our service covers transportation only. The quoted freight rate does not include labour charges. If you need help arranging loading or unloading labour, we can assist at extra cost, but we do not guarantee the availability or quality of third-party labour services.

We operate across 110+ cities in India. Our strongest network covers Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Surat, Vadodara, Jaipur, Indore, and Kochi. For routes between smaller cities, call us -- if there is a road connecting the two points and the distance is intercity, we can usually arrange a truck within 24-48 hours.

No. TruckGuru provides full truckload (FTL) intercity goods transport only. We do not handle parcels, courier shipments, bike transport, car transport, household shifting (no 1BHK/2BHK/3BHK moves), or within-city local deliveries. If you need these services, we recommend contacting a specialist provider in your city.

Report any damage immediately upon delivery to our customer care team at 72020 45678 with photographs. We investigate each claim on a case-by-case basis. We strongly recommend that shippers arrange their own transit insurance for high-value consignments, as TruckGuru's liability is limited to the terms agreed at the time of booking.

Call 72020 45678 or email booking@truckguru.co.in for booking queries. For credit facility or account-related questions, write to cs@truckguru.co.in. Our customer support team is available Monday to Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. TruckGuru does not share your contact details with any outside agencies -- only our in-house executives will reach out to you.

Tips for Booking a Truck

Start with the weight and type of goods you need to move, not the truck size. A 2-ton consignment fits an Eicher 14FT (3.5T capacity), while anything above 7 tons usually needs a 32FT container. Picking the right vehicle upfront saves you from paying for space you do not use.

Always get a confirmed rate before the truck is dispatched. On TruckGuru, the price shown at booking is the price you pay. The payment split is 5% at booking, 90% at loading, and 5% before unloading. If any platform or broker tries to revise the rate at the loading dock, treat that as a red flag.

Check that the transporter provides live GPS tracking and digital documentation including LR, invoice, and POD. Calling the driver every few hours for location updates wastes time, especially on high-volume corridors where even a small delay can throw off your warehouse unloading schedule.

Book 2 to 3 days ahead when possible. Same-day availability is common on most routes, but during October to December peak season, trucks on busy corridors fill up fast. Advance booking also gives you better vehicle options for goods that need closed-body or containerised transport.
