Book Tata AceThe Delhi to Kolkata run follows the old Grand Trunk Road, now NH-19, for most of its 1,500 km. Trucks go through Agra, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, the Bihar stretch past Aurangabad, then Dhanbad, Asansol and Durgapur before reaching Kolkata. A full truck booked through TruckGuru usually delivers within 2 - 3 days, depending mostly on how long it waits at the UP-Bihar border.
We book full truckload only. Your goods load at your gate in Delhi NCR and stay on the same truck until your consignee opens it in Kolkata.
What moves on this corridor
Most Delhi to Kolkata loads fall into four groups. Garment and textile stock from Gandhi Nagar and Okhla goes to Burrabazar wholesalers. Electrical goods and wires from Bhagirath Palace and Narela go to distributors in Howrah and Chitpur. Auto parts from Mayapuri, Kundli and Manesar go to dealers and workshops across east India. And FMCG from NCR warehouses goes to depots at Dankuni and Uluberia.
Kolkata matters as a destination because it feeds the whole east. A lot of what we deliver to Dankuni gets broken down for Bihar, Odisha, Assam and the North East. That is why Kolkata warehouses ask for exact arrival times: their onward trucks are already booked.
Trucks and trip fares
At 1,500 km, the fare difference between a 20ft truck and a 32ft container is smaller than most shippers expect when you compare it per ton moved. If your load is above 6 tons, compare both before booking.

Pickup and delivery areas
In Delhi NCR we pick up from Okhla, Mayapuri, Naraina, Wazirpur, Bawana, Narela, Kundli, Sahibabad, Noida, Greater Noida, Gurugram and Manesar. See truck hire in Delhi and truck hire in Noida for local pickup details.
In Kolkata we deliver to Dankuni, Uluberia, Howrah, Liluah, Kasba, Taratala, Burrabazar-side godowns, Salt Lake Sector V and Kolkata port at Kidderpore. Deliveries into central Kolkata run under no-entry hours for trucks, so we time arrival for the permitted window.
Where time gets lost
The Karmnasa check post on the UP-Bihar border is the main delay. A truck can sit there for 3 to 6 hours on a bad day. The Dhanbad and Asansol stretch also slows down at night because of coal traffic.
Durga Puja is the other factor. From mid-September to the end of October, demand for trucks into Kolkata jumps as retailers stock up. If you are shipping in that window, book 4 to 5 days ahead and expect fares near the top of the range.
Chhath in October-November takes many Bihar and UP drivers off the road for about a week. We plan around it, but the truck pool is thinner then.

Payment is split into three parts: Booking Amount at booking confirmation, 90% at loading once the truck reaches the pickup location, and the remaining Balance at delivery before unloading begins. Accepted: NEFT, IMPS, UPI (PhonePe, GPay), and major debit and credit cards. No cash payments accepted.
An e-way bill is needed for this interstate load if the invoice value is above Rs.50,000. The e-way bill validity for 1,500 km is 8 days, which is enough for this trip.

How long does a truck take from Delhi to Kolkata?
Usually 2 - 3 days for about 1,500 km on NH-19. Delays at the Karmnasa border check post are the main reason a trip runs into the third day.
What is the fare for a 32ft container from Delhi to Kolkata?
A 32ft container with 7-8 ton load capacity costs Rs.89,500 to Rs.94,000 for the trip, toll included. A 16 ton container is Rs.1,25,000 to Rs.1,35,500.
Is toll included in the fare?
Yes. The quoted fare includes toll on NH-19 for the full trip.
Can you pick up from Gurugram or Manesar?
Yes. We pick up across NCR, including Gurugram, Manesar, Noida, Ghaziabad and Sonipat. The fare is calculated from your actual pickup point.
Do you deliver to Dankuni warehouses?
Yes. Dankuni and Uluberia are the most common delivery points on this route. Share the warehouse appointment slot at booking.
What happens during Durga Puja?

How do I pay?

Can I send a part load to Kolkata?
No. TruckGuru books full truckload only. For smaller loads, a 14ft Eicher with 3.5 ton load capacity is usually the most economical full truck.
Do you move household goods from Delhi to Kolkata?
No. We move commercial and industrial goods only. We do not offer house shifting or vehicle transport.
Can I get a return load from Kolkata to Delhi?
Yes, book it as a separate trip. Jute products, tea, steel and paper move from Kolkata to NCR regularly.
