Most freight out of Oragadam leaves in 32FT containers and trailers. This is one of the country's larger automotive clusters, with vehicle makers such as Royal Enfield and Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, their vendor parks, and a string of large logistics parks along the Oragadam-Sriperumbudur road. But every week there are consignments too small for any of that: a box of dealer spares, trial parts for a vendor, a crate of gauges going for calibration. Waiting for them to join a full truck costs days.

How the road out works
Oragadam sits between two highways. North, it is a short run to Sriperumbudur and NH48 for Hosur, Bangalore and Coimbatore. South-east, the road to Singaperumal Koil joins GST Road for Pondicherry and Trichy. Both are quick when clear. The trouble is shift change: when thousands of workers leave the plants in the late afternoon, buses and two-wheelers block the Oragadam roads for 30-45 minutes. We plan pickups outside those windows, and we would suggest you do too.
Hosur is about 305 km from Chennai and usually 1 day by Ace. Bangalore is about 345 km, also usually 1 day; from Oragadam itself both come in a little shorter. Coimbatore is about 505 km and a 1 - 2 day run, so the driver rests on the way.

Truck freight rates are not fixed. What a load costs depends on the route, vehicle type, load capacity needed, cargo, pickup date and how many trucks are running that lane that week. The Hosur and Bangalore lanes are among the busiest in south India, so Ace availability is good; Coimbatore needs a little more notice.

Three things that hold up an Oragadam Ace
A gate pass that was not ready. Large plants and parks need vehicle and driver details in advance; we share them once the Ace is assigned.
An e-way bill that was not generated. For goods worth more than Rs.50,000, the consignor or consignee does it, and the Tamil Nadu-Karnataka border check will ask for it on the Hosur and Bangalore lanes.
No labour. Loading and unloading labour is arranged by you at both ends, as is transit insurance. A plant with a forklift and a dock is fine; a small workshop in Hosur without a loader is where deliveries stall.

Usually yes, if booked today in working hours. Hosur is usually a 1-day run from here.
Can the Ace come into a logistics park dock?
Yes, if the park allows small goods vehicles and your gate pass is ready. We share the vehicle and driver details in advance.
Do you move parts from Oragadam to Sriperumbudur?
No. That is a local run of well under 100 km. We only book intercity trips.
What is the maximum weight?
750 kg - 1,100 kg for a standard Ace; up to 1.5 ton for a closed-body Bada Dost. Beyond that, a 14FT Eicher (3.5 ton).
Do I need an e-way bill for samples?
If the value is over Rs.50,000, yes. The consignor or consignee generates it. Samples of lower value still need a proper delivery challan.
Who loads at our end?
Your team or your labour. Loading and unloading are arranged by the customer.
Is the Ace shared with other shipments?
No. One consignment per vehicle.
Can you hold the table fare for a month?
Rates are not fixed. The table is indicative, checked September 2026, with toll included. The live rate at booking applies.
What are the payment terms?
Payment is split into three parts: Booking Amount at booking confirmation, 90% at loading once the truck reaches the pickup location, and the remaining Balance at delivery before unloading begins. Accepted: NEFT, IMPS, UPI (PhonePe, GPay), and major debit and credit cards. No cash payments accepted.
I work at a plant here and am moving to Coimbatore. Can I book?
Our trucks mostly carry business loads. For a one-off household move to another city, we can supply the truck and driver. Packing, loading and unloading are arranged by you.
Can I follow the Ace on the highway?
Yes. It is GPS tracked from dispatch to delivery.
