About 1,000 km on NH-48, three state borders, usually 2 - 3 days. Trucks run this corridor daily in both directions, which is the practical point of this page.
Daily movement means you are not waiting for a vehicle to become available. Two days notice is usually enough, and on a well-served lane like this one the rate stays steady rather than climbing when you book close to the date.
Rate for your load: freight calculator. Call 72020 45678 for availability on your dates.
Per-trip figures at roughly 1,000 km, toll included.

Ranges, not quotes. Your figure depends on exact pickup and drop points and the booking date, and includes toll across all four states. Check it on the freight calculator.
On a thin corridor, an operator taking a load one way has to think about how the vehicle gets back. That calculation goes into your rate, and it is why some 1,000 km routes cost more than this one.
Delhi to Vadodara does not have that problem. NCR sends garments, auto components, electronics and FMCG south. Vadodara sends chemicals, engineering goods and pharma north out of Makarpura and Nandesari. Both legs pay.
For a shipper the effect is practical rather than abstract. Short lead time works. Booking two days out gets you vehicle choice rather than whatever is left. And the quoted rate on a Tuesday looks much like the quoted rate on a Friday.
Southbound from Delhi NCR: garments and textiles from Okhla, Gandhi Nagar and Naraina; auto components from Manesar and Faridabad; electronics and IT hardware from Patparganj and the Noida sectors; FMCG from the Narela and Bawana belt.
Northbound from Vadodara: process chemicals from Nandesari GIDC, engineering goods and machinery from Makarpura GIDC, pharma from the Gujarat formulation belt, and general commercial freight into NCR wholesale markets.
Vadodara is also where TruckGuru is based, which means the operator network at this end of the corridor is one the team knows directly.
Chemicals and anything needing enclosed protection should move in a container. See container truck transport.
The run usually takes 2 - 3 days including driver rest, so timing is less critical than on a same-day corridor.
Three borders, and all three are reasonably well run. Delhi into Haryana, Haryana into Rajasthan, Rajasthan into Gujarat. Generate the e-way bill before dispatch, confirm it covers the full route rather than the first leg, and check permits are valid for each state.
One thing specific to the Vadodara end: if your delivery is into Nandesari and the consignment is chemical, confirm classification and vehicle requirements at booking. Getting that wrong at the gate costs a day, and Nandesari is strict about it.
Payment in three parts: Booking Amount at confirmation, 90% at loading, balance before unloading in Vadodara. NEFT, IMPS, UPI including PhonePe and GPay, and major debit or credit cards. No cash.
Not included: loading and unloading labour at either end, and transit insurance, which the shipper arranges directly.
Usually 2 - 3 days across roughly 1,000 km via NH-48.
A 14ft Eicher runs Rs.18,000 - Rs.20,000, toll included. A 32FT container at 16 tonnes runs Rs.42,000 - Rs.46,000. Check the freight calculator for your specific load.
Trucks run this corridor daily in both directions. In practice that means two days notice is usually enough to get a vehicle, and rates stay steadier than on lanes with thinner traffic.
Yes, across all four states on the route. Nothing separate is billed at delivery.
Two to three days. This lane carries freight both ways, so availability is good and booking close to the date does not usually cost you.
Non-hazardous chemicals, yes. For hazardous classifications, confirm the vehicle certification and driver endorsement at booking rather than at loading. Nandesari is strict on this and getting it wrong at the gate costs a day.
A GST invoice or delivery challan, and an e-way bill for any consignment above Rs.50,000. Three state crossings, so confirm the e-way bill covers the full corridor before dispatch.
GPS tracking through the TruckGuru Android app from dispatch to delivery. The driver's direct number comes with the booking confirmation.
No. FTL only. One truck, one shipper, one consignment.

Live tracking
Once your shipment moves, its position updates live on the map. Share the tracking link with your buyer or warehouse so unloading is planned before the truck arrives.
"We ship auto components from our Pune plant to distributors in eight states. Earlier every dispatch meant three or four calls to brokers just to get a rate. Now we check the fare online, confirm the truck, and track it on GPS till delivery. Our team saves close to two hours on every booking."
"Our textile unit in Surat moves fifteen to twenty truckloads a month to retailers across South India. TruckGuru gave us one dashboard to book, one number to call, and the GST invoice reaches us the same day. Rates are competitive with no surprise charges at delivery, and that consistency matters when you ship every week."
"We run a packaging materials unit in Ahmedabad and dispatch to factories across Maharashtra and Rajasthan. What sold us on TruckGuru was the rate transparency. The fare we confirmed at booking was the fare on the invoice, toll included, with nothing added at the weighbridge. Fourteen months in and we have not had a single billing dispute."
"I handle procurement for a pharma distributor in Hyderabad and our cargo needs careful handling. TruckGuru gives us a coordinator who checks that every truck is clean and covered before loading. The digital LR and POD reach my inbox before the driver leaves the drop point, which saves us a lot during audits."
Start with the weight and dimensions of your goods, not the truck size. A 2-ton textile shipment from Surat to Mumbai fits comfortably in an Eicher 14FT (3.5T capacity). Picking the wrong truck size is the most common reason shippers overpay on freight.
Get your rate confirmed before the truck is dispatched. On TruckGuru, the price you see at booking is the price you pay. The split is simple: Booking Amount at booking confirmation, 90% at loading, Balance due before unloading. If a platform or broker revises the rate at the loading dock, that is a red flag.
Check whether the transporter provides live GPS tracking and digital documentation including LR, invoice, and POD. Chasing a driver by phone for location updates wastes hours every trip. On busy corridors like Ahmedabad-Mumbai or Delhi-Jaipur, a single delayed update can throw off your warehouse unloading schedule.
Book 2-3 days ahead when possible. Same-day availability is common on most routes, but during October-December peak season, trucks on high-demand corridors fill up fast. Advance booking also gives you better vehicle options for goods that need closed-body or containerised transport.
