Book Tata AceThe ICD run is where Panipat exporters lose days
A large share of Panipat's rugs, bath mats, cushion covers and curtains is made for export. Part of it goes as full containers stuffed at the factory. A lot does not. Smaller exporters and job-workers pack a few hundred cartons and send them to an ICD or a consolidator's warehouse near Delhi, where they are stuffed with other cargo. That trip, about 120 km to Tughlakabad, is short, but it runs against a vessel cut-off. Miss it and the shipment waits for the next sailing.
A Tata 407 on rent in Panipat fits these part-container lots well. It carries about 2.5 ton, which covers most carton lots from a mid-size unit, and it is easier to get into a CFS yard than a long Eicher. Getting the export cartons in on time
Tell us the CFS or ICD, the cut-off date and time, and the carton count when you book. We plan the loading so the 407 reaches the gate the day before cut-off, not the morning of it. The GT Road into Delhi is predictable until it is not: one breakdown near Alipur and the whole stretch backs up.
Keep the shipping bill, packing list and invoice with the driver. For goods worth over 50,000 rupees the e-way bill is generated by the consignor or consignee, as for any other movement. The CFS will also want the vehicle number in advance; we share it as soon as the 407 is assigned.
Covered body or tarpaulin, always. Wet export cartons get rejected.

What usually holds up a Panipat 407
First, weight. Yarn cones and pressed bales are heavier than they look, and a 407 loaded with recycled yarn can hit 2.5 ton well before the body is full. Get the bales weighed.
Second, narrow approach roads. Several older units sit inside the town, where a 407 fits and an Eicher struggles. If your gate is on a narrow lane, say so, and we will not send anything longer.
Third, invoices made after the truck arrives. The driver waits, the dispatch slips to evening, and a same-day delivery to Chandigarh becomes the next day. Have documents ready before the 407 reaches the gate.

407 rates from Panipat
Truck freight rates are not fixed. What a load costs depends on the route, vehicle type, load capacity needed, cargo, pickup date and how many trucks are running that lane that week. From October to December, when winter stock leaves for Punjab and Kashmir markets, small trucks around Panipat get tight.

Can a 407 go to ICD Tughlakabad?
Yes. It is about 120 km from Panipat. Share the CFS name and cut-off and we plan the placement a day ahead of it.
Is 2.5 ton enough for 300 cartons of bath mats?
It depends on carton size. Send dimensions; mats are light, so space is usually the limit, not weight.
Can you send the vehicle number to the CFS?
Yes. Vehicle number and driver phone are shared once the 407 is assigned.
How soon after booking do you call?
Within 30 minutes in working hours: Mon-Sat 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM, Sun 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM.
Is the rate to Ludhiana fixed?
No. Rates are not fixed and change with date, cargo and truck supply. You get the trip price, toll included, at booking.
Who loads the bales?
Your workers. Loading and unloading labour is arranged by the customer; the driver ties and covers the load.
Do you do Panipat to Karnal?
No. That is under 100 km. We only book intercity trips.
What are the payment terms?
Payment is split into three parts: Booking Amount at booking confirmation, 90% at loading once the truck reaches the pickup location, and the remaining Balance at delivery before unloading begins. Accepted: NEFT, IMPS, UPI (PhonePe, GPay), and major debit and credit cards. No cash payments accepted.
Is the cargo insured?
Transit insurance is arranged by the customer. Exporters usually already have a marine or inland transit policy that covers this leg.
Can I watch the truck on the way to Delhi?
Yes. GPS tracking runs from dispatch to delivery, and you get a digital Lorry Receipt at loading and a GST invoice after delivery.
Do you move anything other than business cargo?
Our trucks mostly carry business loads. For a one-off household move to another city, we can supply the truck and driver. Packing, loading and unloading are arranged by you.
