Tata 407 on Rent in Pune
Pune generates a specific category of intercity freight that fits the Tata 407 well: auto component batches from Chakan going to Mumbai for buyer dispatch, engineering parts from Pimpri-Chinchwad heading to Nashik or Aurangabad distributors, FMCG mid-volume orders moving to Kolhapur or Solapur. These are 1.5-3 tonne loads on corridors under 250 km -- same-day runs where a full-size 14ft Eicher would leave unused capacity and where a Tata Ace would be too small.
TruckGuru books Tata 407 intercity FTL from Pune. Driver and truck come to your pickup address. The rate is confirmed before you commit. Not a local Pune delivery service, not a rental where you return the vehicle -- one trip, one confirmed rate, one digital invoice.

Tata 407 Specs and Rate
Load capacity: 2.5 to 3 tonnes
Rate: Rs.31-35 per km. Toll included in the fare.
Best for: Auto component dispatches, engineering parts, mid-volume FMCG orders, industrial equipment, textile rolls between 1.5T and 3T
Driver and vehicle: Confirmed before dispatch, GPS tracking active throughout
If the load is under 1.5T, the Tata Ace (750 kg - 1,100 kg) or Bada Dost (1.5T) costs less per trip. If cargo regularly exceeds 3T, the 14ft Eicher at 3.5T is the next step up at the same per-km rate.

What a Tata 407 Carries Out of Pune
Auto component batches from Chakan: 2-3 tonne dispatches of pressed metal parts, sub-assemblies, and engine components from Chakan's OEM supplier belt heading to Mumbai and Nashik for buyer meetings and production line resupply. Too heavy for a Bada Dost, not enough to fill a 14ft Eicher on every run.
Precision engineering from Pimpri-Chinchwad: Mid-volume consignments of machined components, tooling, and CNC parts moving to Maharashtra distributors and assembly units.
IT and electronics from Hinjewadi: Hardware batches and equipment moving to nearby cities for installation, testing, or resale. The 407 fits when the shipment crosses what a Tata Ace can handle.
FMCG from Pune's wholesale hubs: Shivajinagar and Bhavani Peth generate mid-volume dispatches to Nashik, Aurangabad, and Kolhapur distribution networks. 2-2.5 tonne orders that move weekly.
Textile rolls and garment cartons: Fabric and finished goods dispatches from Pune manufacturers to retail and wholesale buyers across Maharashtra.
For loads under 1.5T, the Tata Ace is cheaper per trip. For loads above 3T or for longer corridors, the 14ft Eicher is the right vehicle. Compare options on the truck type guide.

FAQ
Is a Tata 407 available for local delivery within Pune city?
No. TruckGuru books intercity FTL for routes above 100 km. For local Pune deliveries or intra-city transport, a different provider is the right choice.
What is the Tata 407 load capacity?
2.5 to 3 tonnes depending on the variant. If your cargo regularly exceeds 3T, the 14ft Eicher (3.5T) is the correct vehicle at the same per-km rate.
Are toll charges included?
Yes. Toll is included in the fare shown at booking. No separate toll charges are billed after delivery.
Can I book a Tata 407 from Pune to Mumbai for same-day delivery?
Yes. Pune to Mumbai is approximately 150 km on the expressway, taking 2.5 to 3.5 hours. Morning dispatch from Pune delivers to Mumbai before noon. Confirm availability at booking.
How much does a Tata 407 cost from Pune to Nashik?
Pune to Nashik is approximately 210 km. Rate: Rs.9,610 to Rs.10,450 per trip, toll included. Confirmed rate is shown on the freight calculator before you commit.
What if my load is under 1.5 tonnes?
Book the Tata Ace (750 kg - 1,100 kg) or Bada Dost (1.5T) instead. Both run at Rs.26-29 per km, which is lower than the 407. No point paying for 3 tonnes of capacity when you are shipping 1 tonne.
How does the Tata 407 compare to the 14ft Eicher?
Both cost the same per-km (Rs.31-35/km). The 407 carries 2.5-3T while the 14ft Eicher carries 3.5T. If your load is consistently under 3T, the 407 is the right fit. If it regularly touches 3-3.5T, go with the Eicher.
Does TruckGuru offer household shifting from Pune?
No. TruckGuru books intercity FTL commercial freight only. Household shifting, home relocation, and moving services are not offered.
What are the payment terms?
5% at booking, 90% advance at loading, and 5% before unloading at the destination, via UPI, NEFT, or card. Cash on delivery is not accepted.
What are TruckGuru's customer support hours?
Monday to Saturday 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, and Sunday 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is TruckGuru?
TruckGuru LLP is a full truckload (FTL) intercity truck booking platform with offices in Vadodara and Bangalore, covering 110+ cities across India. We show you the freight cost before you book, match the right truck to your cargo, and handle the booking from pickup to delivery.
How do I book a truck?
Three ways: book online at truckguru.co.in, use the TruckGuru app, or call 72020 45678. Enter your pickup and drop city, select the truck type, and check the estimated fare. Once you confirm, pay the token amount and our team places the vehicle at your pickup location.
How can I check the freight cost for my route?
Use the freight calculator on our website -- enter the pickup city, drop city, and truck type. You will see an estimated fare instantly. No login needed, no obligation. The final rate is confirmed by our executive after verifying your exact locations, material weight, and goods type.
What truck types are available?
Tata Ace (1,250 kg), Bada Dost and Mahindra Pickup (up to 1.5 ton), Eicher 14ft (3.5 ton), 17ft (5 ton), 19ft (7 ton), 20ft Container (6.5 ton), and 32ft Container in SXL (7-8 ton), MXL (16 ton), and MXL (18 ton) variants. Not sure which fits your load? Call us and our team will recommend the right vehicle based on weight and volume.
What are the payment terms?
A token amount at booking confirmation, 90% of the fare at the time of loading, and the remaining balance at the destination before unloading. We accept NEFT, IMPS, UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), and all major debit and credit cards.
Is the online estimate the final fare?
No. The website shows an estimated cost based on standard distance. The final fare is confirmed by our executive after verifying your exact pickup and drop location, material weight, and goods type. On most routes the final rate stays close to the estimate, but it can vary for off-highway locations or routes requiring detours.
What are the waiting charges?
If the truck reaches your location and loading is delayed, waiting charges range from Rs.1,000 to Rs.5,000 per day depending on the vehicle type. If the vehicle is not loaded and returns empty, the customer must pay driver fuel charges plus the waiting charge.
What are the GST charges on freight?
GST on goods transport is payable under the Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) at 5%. The shipper is responsible for filing and paying the GST, not TruckGuru. Our invoices are GST-compliant and sent to your registered email after delivery.
Who generates the e-Way Bill?
The consignor or consignee must generate Part A and Part B of the e-Way Bill before the goods move. This is mandatory for consignments valued above Rs.50,000. TruckGuru does not generate the e-Way Bill on your behalf.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes. Call 72020 45678 to request cancellation. Once vehicle or driver details have been shared, the booking amount is non-refundable. If the truck has already been dispatched, no refund is issued and fuel charges apply. Approved cancellations are refunded (minus cancellation fee) within 7 working days.
Do you provide loading, unloading, or packing?
Our service covers transportation only. If you need labour for loading or unloading, we can help arrange it at extra cost, but we do not guarantee third-party labour services. The quoted freight rate does not include labour charges.
Do you handle parcels, courier, or car transport?
No. TruckGuru provides full truckload (FTL) intercity goods transport only. We do not handle parcels, courier, bike transport, car transport, household shifting, or within-city local deliveries.
Tips for Booking a Truck
Start with the weight and type of goods you need to move, not the truck size. A 2-ton consignment fits an Eicher 14FT (3.5T capacity), while anything above 7 tons usually needs a 32FT container. Picking the right vehicle upfront saves you from paying for space you do not use.
Always get a confirmed rate before the truck is dispatched. On TruckGuru, the price shown at booking is the price you pay. The payment split is 5% at booking, 90% at loading, and 5% before unloading. If any platform or broker tries to revise the rate at the loading dock, treat that as a red flag.
Check that the transporter provides live GPS tracking and digital documentation including LR, invoice, and POD. Calling the driver every few hours for location updates wastes time, especially on high-volume corridors where even a small delay can throw off your warehouse unloading schedule.
Book 2 to 3 days ahead when possible. Same-day availability is common on most routes, but during October to December peak season, trucks on busy corridors fill up fast. Advance booking also gives you better vehicle options for goods that need closed-body or containerised transport.
