Walk through the agarbatti units around Mysore and the output is cartons: light, bulky, and shipped in lots of a few hundred kilos to distributors in Bangalore, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Silk and handicraft traders ship the same way. Engineering suppliers in Hebbal, Metagalli and Hootagalli industrial areas send smaller consignments of machined parts and fasteners. None of these needs a 19-foot truck. They need a Tata Ace (also called Chota Hathi) class vehicle that loads one customer's goods and goes straight to the destination.

Load capacity, and why volume runs out first
An Ace / Dost / Pickup takes 750 kg - 1,100 kg. The closed-body version goes to 1.5 ton. For incense cartons and silk bales the deck fills up long before the weight limit is reached, so plan by carton count, not kilos. A useful check: if your cartons stack beyond the height of the side panels on an open deck, the closed body is the better option anyway, because stacked cartons under a tarpaulin shift on the ghat roads.
For machined parts it is the reverse. A tonne of steel components takes a fraction of the deck. Heavier orders go into a 14FT Eicher (3.5 ton), and the truck size guide covers the rest.

Bangalore is a same-day run, otherwise next day, on the Mysore-Bangalore access-controlled highway, which has cut the old travel time noticeably. The Kerala and Coimbatore lanes are different. Both pass through forest stretches, Bandipur on the Kerala side and Sathyamangalam on the Coimbatore side, where night traffic is restricted, so a mini truck leaving Mysore after late afternoon may wait at the check post until morning. We plan those dispatches for early morning.
Mangalore runs through the Shiradi or Sampaje ghat, depending on road condition that season. In peak monsoon, allow an extra few hours.
How to book
Share pickup, drop, weight and preferred date on the site or through online truck booking. We call back within 30 minutes during working hours (Mon-Sat 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM, Sun 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM) to confirm the vehicle.
At loading you get a digital Lorry Receipt. The vehicle is GPS tracked until delivery, and a GST invoice is sent after. Loading and unloading labour is your responsibility, and so is transit insurance. For goods worth more than 50,000 rupees, the consignor or consignee generates the e-way bill; Kerala and Tamil Nadu trips cross a state border, so keep it ready before dispatch.

Chota Hathi (Mini Truck) rates from Mysore
Truck freight rates are not fixed. What a load costs depends on the route, vehicle type, load capacity needed, cargo, pickup date and how many trucks are running that lane that week. It depends on carton size, and volume runs out before weight. Share carton dimensions and count, and we tell you whether an open Ace, a closed body or a 14FT Eicher suits.
What is the weight limit?
750 kg - 1,100 kg on an Ace / Dost / Pickup, up to 1.5 ton on a closed-body Bada Dost.
Can you send a vehicle from Mysore to Mandya?
No. Mandya is under 100 km, and we only book intercity trips above that.
Why does my Kozhikode load leave so early?
The road passes through the Bandipur and Wayanad forest area with night traffic restrictions. Leaving early avoids a night wait at the check post.
How long to Bangalore?
About 145 km, usually same day possible, otherwise next day. Delivery inside Bangalore city limits can add time depending on entry restrictions.
Is the vehicle only for my goods?
Yes. One vehicle per consignment, no clubbing.

Our trucks mostly carry business loads. For a one-off household move to another city, we can supply the truck and driver. Packing, loading and unloading are arranged by you.
What are the payment terms?
Payment is split into three parts: Booking Amount at booking confirmation, 90% at loading once the truck reaches the pickup location, and the remaining Balance at delivery before unloading begins. Accepted: NEFT, IMPS, UPI (PhonePe, GPay), and major debit and credit cards. No cash payments accepted.
Will I get a receipt at loading?
Yes, a digital Lorry Receipt is issued at loading. The GST invoice follows after delivery.
