Not every Tiruppur load goes to a port. Domestic brands and wholesalers send finished stock north every week, and these trips are long. Tiruppur to Delhi is about 2,400 km and usually takes 4 - 5 days. Tiruppur to Kolkata is about 2,000 km. What goes wrong with export loads, and how to avoid it

The single biggest problem is the vessel cut-off. A truck that reaches Tuticorin after the CFS closes for that vessel means your cargo rolls to the next sailing, often a week later. Load at least 24 hours before the cut-off for Tuticorin and Kochi, and 36 hours before for Chennai.

The second is paperwork. The driver needs the invoice, packing list, e-way bill and the CFS or port booking reference. If the buyer's forwarder issues the documents late, the truck waits at the factory. Get them ready before the truck arrives.
