Hire a Truck in Coimbatore -- Intercity FTL Booking
Coimbatore is Tamil Nadu's manufacturing capital. Textile machinery from Ganapathy, pump and motor parts from Peelamedu, wet grinders from the Pollachi Road belt, precision components from SIDCO -- this city generates consistent outbound freight that moves to buyers across South India and beyond daily.
TruckGuru books intercity FTL trucks from Coimbatore addresses. Not city delivery, intercity commercial freight only, above 100 km. The truck and driver come to your premises. Rate confirmed before you commit. What you see at booking is what appears on the invoice.

Trucks Available from Coimbatore
Five categories. Pick the one that matches your actual cargo weight -- oversizing by one category on a 200 km Kochi run adds Rs. 3,000-5,000 with no benefit.
- Tata Ace (750 kg): Rs. 26-29/km + Rs. 2,500 base. Samples, spare parts, small commercial batches under 750 kg.
- Bada Dost (1.5 T): Rs. 26-29/km + Rs. 2,500 base. Same rate as Tata Ace, double the load capacity. Default choice for most small loads.
- 14ft Eicher (3.5 T): Rs. 31-35/km + Rs. 3,100 base. Textile machinery parts, pump batches, mid-volume FMCG.
- 20ft Truck (6.5 T): Rs. 41-45/km + Rs. 4,000 base. Larger consignments, palletised goods, heavy engineering components.
- 32ft Container (up to 16 T): Rs. 55-91/km + Rs. 7,000-8,000 base. Full truckload from Coimbatore factories to distant distributors.

Common Intercity Routes from Coimbatore
- Coimbatore to Kochi -- approx. 200 km via NH-544, 3 to 4 hours. Fastest same-day corridor; crosses the Palakkad Gap.
- Coimbatore to Bangalore -- approx. 360 km via NH-544, 6 to 8 hours. Same-day for morning dispatch.
- Coimbatore to Chennai -- approx. 490 km via NH-48, 7 to 9 hours. Most textile and pump exports go here.
- Coimbatore to Madurai -- approx. 215 km, 3.5 to 4.5 hours. Short South Tamil Nadu corridor.
- Coimbatore to Hyderabad -- approx. 850 km via NH-44, 13 to 16 hours. Overnight run, 2 state borders.
- Coimbatore to Mumbai -- approx. 1,250 km via NH-48, 18 to 22 hours. 2-day run, 3 states.
Note on the Kochi run: the Palakkad Gap adds 30 to 40 minutes over what car GPS shows. For afternoon Kochi deliveries, dispatch by 9 AM from Coimbatore to absorb that buffer reliably.

What Ships from Coimbatore
Textile machinery parts from Ganapathy and Singanallur are the highest-volume category -- loom components, weaving machinery subassemblies, and spare parts moving to buyers in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. Pump and motor components from Peelamedu supply agricultural, industrial, and building services buyers across South India.
Wet grinders and kitchen appliances from the Pollachi Road belt move to distributors in Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. Precision engineering from SIDCO and Kurichi serves OEM buyers on tight lead times. The 14ft Eicher handles most of these runs -- it is the right size for a mid-volume batch of pump parts or machinery components where a 20ft truck would be half-empty.
For weather-sensitive cargo on longer corridors, container truck transport provides enclosed protection throughout.
Pickup Areas in Coimbatore
- Ganapathy -- textile machinery cluster, largest concentration of loom part producers in India
- Singanallur -- engineering and light manufacturing
- Peelamedu -- pump, motor, and compressor manufacturing
- SIDCO Industrial Estate -- precision components and general manufacturing
- Pollachi Road -- wet grinders, home appliances, food processing equipment
- Kurichi and Kuniyamuthur -- engineering and auto ancillary units

Frequently Asked Questions
What is TruckGuru?
TruckGuru LLP is a full truckload (FTL) intercity truck booking platform with offices in Vadodara and Bangalore, covering 110+ cities across India. We show you the freight cost before you book, match the right truck to your cargo, and handle the booking from pickup to delivery.
How do I book a truck?
Three ways: book online at truckguru.co.in, use the TruckGuru app, or call 72020 45678. Enter your pickup and drop city, select the truck type, and check the estimated fare. Once you confirm, pay the token amount and our team places the vehicle at your pickup location.
How can I check the freight cost for my route?
Use the freight calculator on our website -- enter the pickup city, drop city, and truck type. You will see an estimated fare instantly. No login needed, no obligation. The final rate is confirmed by our executive after verifying your exact locations, material weight, and goods type.
What truck types are available?
Tata Ace (1,250 kg), Bada Dost and Mahindra Pickup (up to 1.5 ton), Eicher 14ft (3.5 ton), 17ft (5 ton), 19ft (7 ton), 20ft Container (6.5 ton), and 32ft Container in SXL (7-8 ton), MXL (16 ton), and MXL (18 ton) variants. Not sure which fits your load? Call us and our team will recommend the right vehicle based on weight and volume.
What are the payment terms?
A token amount at booking confirmation, 90% of the fare at the time of loading, and the remaining balance at the destination before unloading. We accept NEFT, IMPS, UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), and all major debit and credit cards.
Is the online estimate the final fare?
No. The website shows an estimated cost based on standard distance. The final fare is confirmed by our executive after verifying your exact pickup and drop location, material weight, and goods type. On most routes the final rate stays close to the estimate, but it can vary for off-highway locations or routes requiring detours.
What are the waiting charges?
If the truck reaches your location and loading is delayed, waiting charges range from Rs.1,000 to Rs.5,000 per day depending on the vehicle type. If the vehicle is not loaded and returns empty, the customer must pay driver fuel charges plus the waiting charge.
What are the GST charges on freight?
GST on goods transport is payable under the Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) at 5%. The shipper is responsible for filing and paying the GST, not TruckGuru. Our invoices are GST-compliant and sent to your registered email after delivery.
Who generates the e-Way Bill?
The consignor or consignee must generate Part A and Part B of the e-Way Bill before the goods move. This is mandatory for consignments valued above Rs.50,000. TruckGuru does not generate the e-Way Bill on your behalf.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes. Call 72020 45678 to request cancellation. Once vehicle or driver details have been shared, the booking amount is non-refundable. If the truck has already been dispatched, no refund is issued and fuel charges apply. Approved cancellations are refunded (minus cancellation fee) within 7 working days.
Do you provide loading, unloading, or packing?
Our service covers transportation only. If you need labour for loading or unloading, we can help arrange it at extra cost, but we do not guarantee third-party labour services. The quoted freight rate does not include labour charges.
Do you handle parcels, courier, or car transport?
No. TruckGuru provides full truckload (FTL) intercity goods transport only. We do not handle parcels, courier, bike transport, car transport, household shifting, or within-city local deliveries.
Tips for Booking a Truck
Start with the weight and type of goods you need to move, not the truck size. A 2-ton consignment fits an Eicher 14FT (3.5T capacity), while anything above 7 tons usually needs a 32FT container. Picking the right vehicle upfront saves you from paying for space you do not use.
Always get a confirmed rate before the truck is dispatched. On TruckGuru, the price shown at booking is the price you pay. The payment split is 5% at booking, 90% at loading, and 5% before unloading. If any platform or broker tries to revise the rate at the loading dock, treat that as a red flag.
Check that the transporter provides live GPS tracking and digital documentation including LR, invoice, and POD. Calling the driver every few hours for location updates wastes time, especially on high-volume corridors where even a small delay can throw off your warehouse unloading schedule.
Book 2 to 3 days ahead when possible. Same-day availability is common on most routes, but during October to December peak season, trucks on busy corridors fill up fast. Advance booking also gives you better vehicle options for goods that need closed-body or containerised transport.
