Rajkot's engineering units make things that are small and dense: castings, forgings, pump bodies, bearing housings, diesel engine parts and machine tool components. A load of that kind rarely fills a truck by volume. It fills it by weight, and often long before the deck is full. That is the main reason Rajkot manufacturers ask us for a Tata Ace for rent rather than an Eicher. A few crates of castings for a buyer in Ahmedabad, spares for a pump dealer in Bhavnagar, or a sample batch for a new customer in Vadodara all sit comfortably in the 1,100 kg limit.

Where the Ace usually loads in Rajkot
Most of our Rajkot pickups come from the industrial belts on the edges of the city: Aji GIDC on the eastern side, Shapar-Veraval and Metoda on the Gondal and Kalawad road sides, and Lodhika GIDC. Each has its own quirk. Shapar-Veraval units sit right on the Gondal highway, so an Ace can be on the road south within minutes. Aji GIDC is closer to the city, and a pickup there in the evening means crawling through city traffic before the highway.
Give the plot number and the name of the person at the gate when you book. Rajkot industrial estates have many similar-looking lanes, and a driver hunting for the right shed loses the slot you planned around.

- Ahmedabad, about 215 km. 1 day in an Ace, via the Bagodara stretch.
- Bhavnagar, about 175 km. Same day possible, otherwise next day; common for parts going to the Alang and Bhavnagar engineering trade.
- Porbandar and Junagadh, both on the south Saurashtra side, for dealers and service workshops.
- Vadodara, for buyers in the Makarpura and Waghodia belts.
- Kutch, for spares heading to the port-side industries around Gandhidham.
Jamnagar and Morbi are too close to Rajkot to count as intercity for us. Both fall under 100 km.
When an Ace is the wrong call
Metal parts trick people. Four wooden crates of cast iron can cross a tonne without looking like much. If the weight goes past about 1.1 ton, move up to a 14FT Eicher (3.5 ton) instead of asking the Ace driver to take a little extra; an overloaded mini truck can be stopped at an RTO check, and the delay falls on your delivery date. For polished or machined parts that must stay dry, ask for a closed-body Bada Dost, which takes up to 1.5 ton. Open bodies come with a tarpaulin.
How a booking runs
You enter pickup, drop, weight and date on the website or the TruckGuru app. We call back within 30 minutes during working hours (Mon-Sat 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM, Sun 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM) to confirm the vehicle and pickup time. A digital Lorry Receipt is issued at loading. The Ace is GPS tracked from dispatch to delivery, and the GST invoice follows after delivery.
Your side of the job: loading and unloading labour at both ends, transit insurance if you want it, and the e-way bill for goods worth more than Rs.50,000, which the consignor or consignee generates.
Tata Ace rates from Rajkot
Truck freight rates are not fixed. What a load costs depends on the route, vehicle type, load capacity needed, cargo, pickup date and how many trucks are running that lane that week. Around Diwali, when Rajkot units clear dispatches before the holiday shutdown, small vehicles on the Ahmedabad lane get booked out quickly.

Can I get an Ace at Shapar tomorrow morning for Ahmedabad?
Usually yes, if you book today during working hours. Share the plot number and weight, and we confirm the slot on the callback. A morning start gets the Ace into Ahmedabad before evening entry traffic.
How much can a Tata Ace carry?
An Ace / Dost / Pickup takes up to 1,100 kg. A closed-body Bada Dost takes up to 1.5 ton. Weigh metal loads before booking, because castings run heavier than people estimate.
Do you do deliveries inside Rajkot?
No. Every booking is intercity, over 100 km. Rajkot to Jamnagar or Morbi is also too short for us.
Will my goods share the Ace with another load?
No. One vehicle per consignment, loaded at your gate and driven straight to your receiver.
Who loads the crates?
You arrange loading and unloading labour at both ends. The driver helps rope and cover the load but does not lift crates.
Is an e-way bill needed for parts going to Bhavnagar?
Yes, if the goods are worth more than Rs.50,000, even within Gujarat. The consignor or consignee generates it and shares the number before the vehicle leaves.

What are the payment terms?
Payment is split into three parts: Booking Amount at booking confirmation, 90% at loading once the truck reaches the pickup location, and the remaining Balance at delivery before unloading begins. Accepted: NEFT, IMPS, UPI (PhonePe, GPay), and major debit and credit cards. No cash payments accepted.
My order is 2 ton of castings. Two Aces or one Eicher?
One 14FT Eicher. It takes 3.5 ton, needs one loading crew, and the receiver unloads once. Two Aces make sense only when the load is going to two different cities.
