Plan the calendar, not just the truck
Assam's monsoon, roughly June to September, brings floods that cut roads and slow everything near the Brahmaputra. Bihar's rivers rise in the same months. If the delivery is tied to a launch or a project date, ship before June or add a buffer day. The weeks before Bihu in April and before Diwali also see more trucks heading east, and fewer of them free in Gujarat. Book 3-4 days ahead at those times.
What to put on the truck

Paperwork that expires. An e-way bill generated a week before loading can run short on a 4-5 day trip. Generate it close to the loading date. Also check that the consignee's address and GSTIN on the invoice match the e-way bill, since a mismatch is the usual reason a truck is held at a check post.
