Book Tata AceMangalore's freight is shaped by its port. New Mangalore Port handles petroleum, fertiliser, coffee, cashew and container cargo, and the MRPL refinery, chemical plants and warehouses around Baikampady and Panambur exist largely because of it. Trucks leaving Mangalore carry port-cleared imports inland, refinery and chemical products to buyers across Karnataka, and export cargo coming the other way from Chikmagalur's coffee estates and Bangalore's factories.

What we do, and what we leave to others
We book full trucks with a fixed fare, GPS tracking and a GST invoice. We do not do customs clearance, freight forwarding, warehousing, part loads or local deliveries. If your cargo is cleared at the port, we move it inland. If it is ready to export, we bring it to the port gate or CFS.

Port cargo
For imports, share the CFS or port gate, the delivery order and the gate pass when you book. Trucks without the right paperwork are turned back at the gate, and port queues are long. For exports, share the shipping line's cut-off time; we work back from it to set the loading time inland.
Containers need a trailer, while break-bulk cargo like fertiliser bags or timber goes on open trucks. Tell us which it is.
The ghat problem
Every road inland from Mangalore climbs the Western Ghats. Shiradi ghat on NH-75 to Hassan and Bangalore is the main truck route, and it has been closed for repairs in some monsoons, forcing trucks through Sampaje or Charmadi, which are steeper and slower. From June to September, heavy rain and landslides on all three ghats can hold trucks for hours.
We track closures and suggest the best route at booking. For Bangalore deliveries in the monsoon, promise an extra half day.
Refinery and chemical loads
Products from the MRPL and the chemical units nearby, such as solvents, lubricants and petrochemicals, often need hazardous cargo permits. Share the product name and UN number at booking, and we confirm a permitted truck before you pay. Keep the MSDS with the invoice.
Coffee and export cargo
Coffee from Chikmagalur, Coorg and Hassan's estates comes down the ghats to curing works and exporters near Mangalore, then leaves by sea. Coffee is sensitive to moisture and odour: bags should travel in clean, closed trucks, away from chemicals or fish products. From November to March, during the harvest and curing season, inbound coffee trucks compete for capacity, and outbound trucks from Mangalore get easier to find as they head back up.
Cashew kernels, marine products in dry packs and tiles are the other export-linked loads. Each has its own packing needs, and we ask about them at booking.

Return loads and fares
Trucks that bring cargo down to the port from Bangalore and inland Karnataka often look for a load back up, which helps availability for Mangalore to Bangalore and Mysore trips. Routes along the coast to Kochi and Goa also have steady traffic. In the monsoon, fewer trucks want to cross the ghats, and fares can sit toward the upper end of the range.
Payment
Payment is split into three parts: Booking Amount at booking confirmation, 90% at loading once the truck reaches the pickup location, and the remaining Balance at delivery before unloading begins. Accepted: NEFT, IMPS, UPI (PhonePe, GPay), and major debit and credit cards. No cash payments accepted.
