The road, in practical terms
The run is about 410 km. Trucks leave the Mumbai side on the Nashik highway, climb the Kasara ghat, and continue north-east through Malegaon and Dhule before turning east for Jalgaon. Transit for the loaded truck is 1 day, counted from loading to arrival at the consignee.
The ghat is the slow part. A loaded 19FT Eicher crawls up Kasara behind tankers, and in the monsoon there are days when a breakdown on the climb holds traffic for a while. We would rather tell you that up front than pretend the timing is fixed to the hour.
No state border is crossed, so there is no check-post stop. The e-way bill still applies: it is generated by the consignor or consignee for goods above Rs.50,000, and Maharashtra also sets its own intra-state limit, so check the current figure with whoever handles your GST.

Polymer bags are dense, so a 14FT Eicher at 3.5 ton or a 17FT at 5 ton fills by weight long before it fills by space. Pipe fittings and light, bulky cartons are the opposite and suit a 20FT container. For a full plant dispatch, the 32FT single-axle container carries 7-8 ton under cover. Is e-way bill needed if it is all within Maharashtra?
Yes, for goods above the limit. The consignor or consignee generates it; the driver carries it with the invoice. We do not generate it for you.
Will the goods stay dry in the monsoon?
Open-body trucks are tarpaulin covered, which is fine for most cargo. For cartons or electronics in July and August, ask for a closed container instead.
Who loads and unloads?
You do. Loading and unloading labour is arranged by the customer at both ends. Most MIDC units in Jalgaon have their own labour.
Can I track the truck?
Yes. GPS tracking runs from dispatch to delivery, and you get a digital Lorry Receipt at loading. The GST invoice follows after delivery.
What are the payment terms?
Payment is split into three parts: Booking Amount at booking confirmation, 90% at loading once the truck reaches the pickup location, and the remaining Balance at delivery before unloading begins. Accepted: NEFT, IMPS, UPI (PhonePe, GPay), and major debit and credit cards. No cash payments accepted.
Is insurance included?
No. Transit insurance is arranged by the customer. Many shippers already hold an annual marine-transit policy that covers lanes like this one.
Do you take personal goods, not business cargo?
Our trucks mostly carry business loads. For a one-off household move to another city, we can supply the truck and driver. Packing, loading and unloading are arranged by you.
