Every Noida dispatch desk knows the load that is too big for a tempo and too small to justify a big truck. Two tonnes of export garments from Sector 63 for a buyer's warehouse in Jaipur. Forty cartons of LED drivers and wiring from a Phase 2 unit going to a distributor in Lucknow. That middle band, roughly 1.2 to 2.5 ton, is where a Tata 407 on rent in Noida earns its place. It has a longer deck than an Ace and takes about 2.5 ton, and it still gets into sector lanes where a 19FT Eicher would struggle to turn.

The mistake we see most often is booking a 407 for a load that is right at 2.5 ton on paper and then adding a few more cartons on the day. An overloaded 407 is a problem at every weighbridge and RTO check on the way. If you are close to the limit, take the Eicher. What Noida puts on a 407
Noida's sectors mix three kinds of business, and all three produce 407-sized loads. Garment exporters in Sectors 57, 58, 63 and 64 send sample lots and short orders to buyers and consolidators. Electronics and electrical assemblers in Phase 2 and the Sector 80s send finished goods to distributors across UP and Rajasthan. Printing and packaging units send cartons, labels and printed material to FMCG plants. The first and third are light and bulky. The second can be surprisingly heavy for its size, so weigh it.
Lanes and road time
- Haridwar, about 210 km: 1 day, mostly on the Meerut expressway and NH-334
- Dehradun, about 250 km: 1 day
- Jaipur, about 280 km: 1 day, crossing Delhi or going round by the Eastern and KMP expressways
- Gwalior, about 330 km: 1 day down the Yamuna Expressway and NH-44
- Lucknow, about 500 km: a full day on the Yamuna and Agra-Lucknow expressways
A 407 is not a fast vehicle when loaded. On expressways it will sit well below the car speed limit, so plan the times above rather than what a map app shows for a car.
Tata 407 rates in Noida
Truck freight rates are not fixed. What a load costs depends on the route, vehicle type, load capacity needed, cargo, pickup date and how many trucks are running that lane that week. The 407 is priced per trip at booking rather than from a published table; for Noida loads going east on the expressways, you can usually get a firm figure on the same callback.

After you book
Enter pickup, drop, weight and date on the website or the TruckGuru app. We call back within 30 minutes during working hours (Mon-Sat 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM, Sun 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM) to confirm the vehicle and pickup time. How much does a 407 really take?
About 2.5 ton. Book by the actual invoice weight. If you are near 2.5 ton, a 14FT Eicher at 3.5 ton is the safer choice.
We have 1.8 ton of garments for Jaipur. 407 or Eicher?
Weight says 407, but garment cartons are bulky. Send the carton count and size; if they will not fit the 407 deck, we suggest the Eicher on the callback.
Can the 407 enter our Sector 63 lane?
Usually yes. It is shorter and narrower than an Eicher. Tell us about any height barrier or tight turn so the driver knows in advance.
Do you do Noida to Gurugram?
No. That is inside NCR and under 100 km. We only book intercity trips.
Will you add another customer's goods to fill the 407?
No. One vehicle per consignment, direct to your receiver.
Who loads the 407?
You arrange loading and unloading labour. The driver secures and covers the load but does not load it.
Is an e-way bill needed?
For goods worth more than 50,000 rupees, yes. The consignor or consignee generates it before the vehicle leaves.
Can I track the vehicle to Lucknow?
Yes. It is GPS tracked from dispatch to delivery. Check the app or call our team.
Can I use a 407 for my own move to Dehradun?
Our trucks mostly carry business loads. For a one-off household move to another city, we can supply the truck and driver. Packing, loading and unloading are arranged by you.
What are the payment terms?
Payment is split into three parts: Booking Amount at booking confirmation, 90% at loading once the truck reaches the pickup location, and the remaining Balance at delivery before unloading begins. Accepted: NEFT, IMPS, UPI (PhonePe, GPay), and major debit and credit cards. No cash payments accepted.
