Bangalore to Chennai Transport Service
Bangalore to Chennai is approximately 347 km via NH-44 -- a 6-7 hour corridor that connects two of South India's most active manufacturing and distribution hubs. On the Bangalore end, Peenya Industrial Area, Bommasandra, and Electronic City generate consistent outbound freight. On the Chennai end, Sriperumbudur's auto manufacturing cluster, Ambattur's FMCG and garment belt, and Oragadam's industrial zone are the primary receiving points.
This is one of India's most active intercity freight corridors. Daily truck volumes in both directions are high, which keeps truck availability consistent and rates more stable than on corridors with weaker two-way freight flow. For businesses on this corridor, the key variables are not availability -- it is rate certainty before dispatch and documentation quality on every booking.
TruckGuru handles FTL truck bookings from Bangalore to Chennai at confirmed rates. The rate at booking is the rate on your invoice. Check your route: freight calculator. Or call 72020 45678.

What Affects the Bangalore to Chennai Freight Rate
Five variables determine the actual rate on any given booking:
- Truck type and load capacity -- a 14ft truck and a 32ft container on the same 347 km corridor have very different rates; matching the truck to the actual load weight is the biggest cost lever
- Diesel prices at the time of booking -- fuel accounts for approximately 35-45% of truck operating cost; rate shifts follow diesel moves with a short lag
- Seasonal demand -- Q4 (October-December) consistently runs higher on this corridor due to festive inventory builds and year-end stock movements
- Booking lead time -- same-day or next-day bookings on Bangalore-Chennai are usually available but may carry a small premium over bookings placed 2-3 days ahead
- Toll charges -- NH-44 has multiple toll plazas between Bangalore and Chennai; tolls are paid by the shipper separately and add Rs. 500-1,000 depending on truck type
Why Businesses Use TruckGuru for Bangalore to Chennai
The Bangalore-Chennai corridor is one of South India's most competitive freight lanes. Hundreds of operators and brokers service this route daily. The problem is not availability -- it is rate consistency and documentation quality. Verbal quotes from brokers regularly differ from the invoice. Handwritten LRs get lost. GST invoices arrive days after delivery if at all.
On TruckGuru, the rate at booking confirmation is the rate on the invoice. The LR is generated digitally at dispatch and stored on the platform. The GST invoice is generated automatically after delivery confirmation with the full tax breakup for input credit claims. For businesses making this run weekly -- electronics companies shipping to Chennai IT buyers, or auto component suppliers delivering to Sriperumbudur -- that documentation consistency matters on every booking.
GPS tracking runs live from Bangalore dispatch through Krishnagiri and Vellore into Chennai delivery, accessible through the TruckGuru mobile app. Your Chennai receiving team can see the truck's position without calling the driver.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is TruckGuru?
TruckGuru LLP is a full truckload (FTL) intercity truck booking platform with offices in Vadodara and Bangalore, covering 110+ cities across India. We show you the freight cost before you book, match the right truck to your cargo, and handle the booking from pickup to delivery.
How do I book a truck?
Three ways: book online at truckguru.co.in, use the TruckGuru app, or call 72020 45678. Enter your pickup and drop city, select the truck type, and check the estimated fare. Once you confirm, pay the token amount and our team places the vehicle at your pickup location.
How can I check the freight cost for my route?
Use the freight calculator on our website -- enter the pickup city, drop city, and truck type. You will see an estimated fare instantly. No login needed, no obligation. The final rate is confirmed by our executive after verifying your exact locations, material weight, and goods type.
What truck types are available?
Tata Ace (1,250 kg), Bada Dost and Mahindra Pickup (up to 1.5 ton), Eicher 14ft (3.5 ton), 17ft (5 ton), 19ft (7 ton), 20ft Container (6.5 ton), and 32ft Container in SXL (7-8 ton), MXL (16 ton), and MXL (18 ton) variants. Not sure which fits your load? Call us and our team will recommend the right vehicle based on weight and volume.
What are the payment terms?
A token amount at booking confirmation, 90% of the fare at the time of loading, and the remaining balance at the destination before unloading. We accept NEFT, IMPS, UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), and all major debit and credit cards.
Is the online estimate the final fare?
No. The website shows an estimated cost based on standard distance. The final fare is confirmed by our executive after verifying your exact pickup and drop location, material weight, and goods type. On most routes the final rate stays close to the estimate, but it can vary for off-highway locations or routes requiring detours.
What are the waiting charges?
If the truck reaches your location and loading is delayed, waiting charges range from Rs.1,000 to Rs.5,000 per day depending on the vehicle type. If the vehicle is not loaded and returns empty, the customer must pay driver fuel charges plus the waiting charge.
What are the GST charges on freight?
GST on goods transport is payable under the Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) at 5%. The shipper is responsible for filing and paying the GST, not TruckGuru. Our invoices are GST-compliant and sent to your registered email after delivery.
Who generates the e-Way Bill?
The consignor or consignee must generate Part A and Part B of the e-Way Bill before the goods move. This is mandatory for consignments valued above Rs.50,000. TruckGuru does not generate the e-Way Bill on your behalf.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes. Call 72020 45678 to request cancellation. Once vehicle or driver details have been shared, the booking amount is non-refundable. If the truck has already been dispatched, no refund is issued and fuel charges apply. Approved cancellations are refunded (minus cancellation fee) within 7 working days.
Do you provide loading, unloading, or packing?
Our service covers transportation only. If you need labour for loading or unloading, we can help arrange it at extra cost, but we do not guarantee third-party labour services. The quoted freight rate does not include labour charges.
Do you handle parcels, courier, or car transport?
No. TruckGuru provides full truckload (FTL) intercity goods transport only. We do not handle parcels, courier, bike transport, car transport, household shifting, or within-city local deliveries.
Tips for Booking a Truck
Start with the weight and type of goods you need to move, not the truck size. A 2-ton consignment fits an Eicher 14FT (3.5T capacity), while anything above 7 tons usually needs a 32FT container. Picking the right vehicle upfront saves you from paying for space you do not use.
Always get a confirmed rate before the truck is dispatched. On TruckGuru, the price shown at booking is the price you pay. The payment split is 5% at booking, 90% at loading, and 5% before unloading. If any platform or broker tries to revise the rate at the loading dock, treat that as a red flag.
Check that the transporter provides live GPS tracking and digital documentation including LR, invoice, and POD. Calling the driver every few hours for location updates wastes time, especially on high-volume corridors where even a small delay can throw off your warehouse unloading schedule.
Book 2 to 3 days ahead when possible. Same-day availability is common on most routes, but during October to December peak season, trucks on busy corridors fill up fast. Advance booking also gives you better vehicle options for goods that need closed-body or containerised transport.
