Which truck does your load need?

Go by declared weight, not by how much space the cargo seems to take. The truck is matched to the weight on the booking, and a load heavier than declared causes trouble at weighbridges and checkposts on the way.

How far and how long from Chennai

These are road times. They do not include loading at your end or the wait at the receiver's gate, and on the longer runs those two add more delay than the highway does. From mid-October to December the northeast monsoon floods low roads around Manali and Ennore. Plan an extra day for pickups there in those weeks.

Truck rates from Chennai

Truck freight rates are not fixed. What a load costs depends on the route, vehicle type, load capacity needed, cargo, pickup date and how many trucks are running that lane that week. Chennai to Bangalore is the busiest lane out of the city, so trucks are usually easy to find there; long runs north, to Delhi or Ludhiana, take longer to arrange.

• Driver name, vehicle number and phone number reach you before dispatch.
• GPS tracking runs from dispatch to delivery. You get a digital Lorry Receipt at loading and a GST invoice after delivery.

Payment is split into three parts: Booking Amount at booking confirmation, 90% at loading once the truck reaches the pickup location, and the remaining Balance at delivery before unloading begins. Accepted: NEFT, IMPS, UPI (PhonePe, GPay), and major debit and credit cards. No cash payments accepted.

Loading and unloading labour at both ends is yours to arrange, and so is transit insurance if the cargo value calls for it. Better to know that before the truck arrives.

What we do not carry

Can I get a truck today in Chennai?

Often yes on the Bangalore, Coimbatore and Hyderabad lanes, depending on the truck type and pickup area. For Delhi or other long runs north, book 4-5 days ahead so the right truck is in place.

My load is 3 ton. Which truck?

A 14FT Eicher, which takes up to 3.5 ton. If the goods must stay dry or sealed, book a 20FT container instead.

Is toll extra?

No. Toll is included in the trip fare shown at booking. The rate you confirm is the rate you pay for the trip.

How do I pay?

Do you pick up from Sriperumbudur and Oragadam?

Yes. Both are regular pickup points for auto and electronics loads. Give the exact plant or warehouse address at booking so the truck can be routed to the right gate.

Can I track the truck?

Yes. GPS tracking starts at dispatch and runs until delivery. You also get the driver's number before the truck leaves.

What documents do I get?

A digital Lorry Receipt at loading and a GST invoice after delivery. E-way bill support is available for eligible consignments.

Can I send 500 kg with someone else's load?

No. TruckGuru books full trucks only, one consignment per truck. For small quantities, a Tata Ace (750 kg - 1,100 kg) is the smallest truck we book.

Do you move household goods or cars?

No. We carry commercial and industrial goods only, intercity, above 100 km. No household shifting and no vehicles.
