Chennai to Hyderabad Transport Service
Distance: ~642 km via NH-65
Transit: 8-10 hours non-stop
Service: FTL intercity only -- no part load, parcel, or household shifting
Chennai to Hyderabad is approximately 642 km via NH-65 -- a corridor that links Tamil Nadu's manufacturing belt to Telangana's pharmaceutical and IT cluster. The route crosses three state borders: Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. Transit by truck runs 8-10 hours non-stop, making same-day dispatch and next-morning delivery achievable for most Sriperumbudur and Ambattur pickup zones.
The freight on this corridor reflects the industrial profiles at both ends. Sriperumbudur's Hyundai, Ford, and Renault-Nissan plants generate auto component dispatches that move to Hyderabad's IDA Nacharam and Patancheru assembly zones. Hyderabad's Genome Valley pharma cluster sends APIs and bulk drug intermediates in the reverse direction to Chennai's biotech distributors. IT hardware from Chennai's OMR corridor moves to HITEC City companies in Hyderabad.

What Moves on the Chennai to Hyderabad Corridor
Auto components are the most consistent high-value freight on this corridor. Sriperumbudur's assembly plants -- Hyundai India's largest facility, Ford's Tamil Nadu operations, and Renault-Nissan's plant -- generate component and sub-assembly dispatches that move northwest to Hyderabad's IDA Nacharam and Patancheru industrial zones. These are often time-sensitive consignments tied to production schedules at the receiving facility.
The pharma flow runs in the opposite direction. Hyderabad's Genome Valley -- the pharmaceutical R&D and bulk drug manufacturing cluster in Turkapally and Shamirpet -- sends APIs and formulations south to Chennai's biotech distributors and hospital supply networks. Chennai's own pharma manufacturers in Guindy send formulations and medical devices north to Hyderabad's hospital networks and stockists.
Other regular Chennai to Hyderabad freight:
- IT hardware and electronics from Chennai's Perungudi and OMR corridor to Hyderabad's HITEC City and Gachibowli companies
- FMCG and packaged consumer goods from Chennai's Ambattur and Koyambedu distribution zones to Hyderabad's wholesale network
- Textiles and garments from Chennai's apparel manufacturing cluster to Hyderabad's Begum Bazaar wholesale markets
- Engineering goods and industrial components from Guindy and Oragadam to Hyderabad's manufacturing buyers
Commercial and industrial goods only. Household shifting, automobile transport, and parcel services are not offered on this route.

Why Businesses Use TruckGuru for Chennai to Hyderabad
For auto component suppliers in Sriperumbudur dispatching to Hyderabad's assembly plants, the 8-10 hour transit on this corridor only delivers value if the truck leaves on schedule and documentation is complete at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana checkposts. A truck with a lapsed fitness certificate or missing e-way bill held at a state border costs more than the freight rate itself when it delays a production line at the receiving plant.
TruckGuru verifies RC, fitness certificate, and driver documentation before listing any truck. The confirmed Chennai to Hyderabad transport charges at booking are the figures on the invoice after Hyderabad delivery. For pharma companies running regular API dispatches from Hyderabad to Chennai distributors, that rate consistency compounds into a meaningful cost advantage over broker-sourced transport where invoice rates routinely differ from quoted rates.
GPS tracking runs live from Chennai dispatch through the full NH-65 route into Hyderabad, accessible via the TruckGuru mobile app. Digital LR at Chennai dispatch and GST invoice after Hyderabad delivery are generated automatically -- no paperwork chase at either end.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is TruckGuru?
TruckGuru LLP is a full truckload (FTL) intercity truck booking platform with offices in Vadodara and Bangalore, covering 110+ cities across India. We show you the freight cost before you book, match the right truck to your cargo, and handle the booking from pickup to delivery.
How do I book a truck?
Three ways: book online at truckguru.co.in, use the TruckGuru app, or call 72020 45678. Enter your pickup and drop city, select the truck type, and check the estimated fare. Once you confirm, pay the token amount and our team places the vehicle at your pickup location.
How can I check the freight cost for my route?
Use the freight calculator on our website -- enter the pickup city, drop city, and truck type. You will see an estimated fare instantly. No login needed, no obligation. The final rate is confirmed by our executive after verifying your exact locations, material weight, and goods type.
What truck types are available?
Tata Ace (1,250 kg), Bada Dost and Mahindra Pickup (up to 1.5 ton), Eicher 14ft (3.5 ton), 17ft (5 ton), 19ft (7 ton), 20ft Container (6.5 ton), and 32ft Container in SXL (7-8 ton), MXL (16 ton), and MXL (18 ton) variants. Not sure which fits your load? Call us and our team will recommend the right vehicle based on weight and volume.
What are the payment terms?
A token amount at booking confirmation, 90% of the fare at the time of loading, and the remaining balance at the destination before unloading. We accept NEFT, IMPS, UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), and all major debit and credit cards.
Is the online estimate the final fare?
No. The website shows an estimated cost based on standard distance. The final fare is confirmed by our executive after verifying your exact pickup and drop location, material weight, and goods type. On most routes the final rate stays close to the estimate, but it can vary for off-highway locations or routes requiring detours.
What are the waiting charges?
If the truck reaches your location and loading is delayed, waiting charges range from Rs.1,000 to Rs.5,000 per day depending on the vehicle type. If the vehicle is not loaded and returns empty, the customer must pay driver fuel charges plus the waiting charge.
What are the GST charges on freight?
GST on goods transport is payable under the Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) at 5%. The shipper is responsible for filing and paying the GST, not TruckGuru. Our invoices are GST-compliant and sent to your registered email after delivery.
Who generates the e-Way Bill?
The consignor or consignee must generate Part A and Part B of the e-Way Bill before the goods move. This is mandatory for consignments valued above Rs.50,000. TruckGuru does not generate the e-Way Bill on your behalf.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes. Call 72020 45678 to request cancellation. Once vehicle or driver details have been shared, the booking amount is non-refundable. If the truck has already been dispatched, no refund is issued and fuel charges apply. Approved cancellations are refunded (minus cancellation fee) within 7 working days.
Do you provide loading, unloading, or packing?
Our service covers transportation only. If you need labour for loading or unloading, we can help arrange it at extra cost, but we do not guarantee third-party labour services. The quoted freight rate does not include labour charges.
Do you handle parcels, courier, or car transport?
No. TruckGuru provides full truckload (FTL) intercity goods transport only. We do not handle parcels, courier, bike transport, car transport, household shifting, or within-city local deliveries.
Tips for Booking a Truck
Start with the weight and type of goods you need to move, not the truck size. A 2-ton consignment fits an Eicher 14FT (3.5T capacity), while anything above 7 tons usually needs a 32FT container. Picking the right vehicle upfront saves you from paying for space you do not use.
Always get a confirmed rate before the truck is dispatched. On TruckGuru, the price shown at booking is the price you pay. The payment split is 5% at booking, 90% at loading, and 5% before unloading. If any platform or broker tries to revise the rate at the loading dock, treat that as a red flag.
Check that the transporter provides live GPS tracking and digital documentation including LR, invoice, and POD. Calling the driver every few hours for location updates wastes time, especially on high-volume corridors where even a small delay can throw off your warehouse unloading schedule.
Book 2 to 3 days ahead when possible. Same-day availability is common on most routes, but during October to December peak season, trucks on busy corridors fill up fast. Advance booking also gives you better vehicle options for goods that need closed-body or containerised transport.
