Book Tata AceA shortfall at a plant 300 km away
The call usually comes around 4 PM. A vendor in IMT Manesar has shipped its full truck to a customer's plant in Haridwar, but the plant needs another two tonnes of pressings by the morning shift or a line slows down. A 32FT container is far too much. An Ace is too little. A Tata 407 on rent in Gurugram, carrying about 2.5 ton and leaving by early evening, is what fixes it. Top-up and shortfall runs like this are the biggest share of what we book in the 407 class from Gurugram.

Two belts, two kinds of load
IMT Manesar and the NH-48 belt make auto and two-wheeler components: sheet-metal parts, castings, rubber parts, wiring harnesses. These loads are heavy for their volume. A 407 can reach its weight limit with half the deck showing, so give us the weight from the invoice or the weighbridge, not a guess.
Udyog Vihar is mostly garment exporters and their suppliers, plus some electronics and printing units. Their loads are the opposite: light cartons that fill the body first. For these, check the carton count against the deck size before booking. If it does not fit, a 14FT Eicher with its longer, taller body is usually the answer. The truck size guide lists dimensions.
Some plants are too close for us
Bhiwadi and Neemrana are part of the same auto supply chain, and Gurugram vendors deliver there constantly. Both are under 100 km from most of Gurugram, which puts them outside what we book. The same goes for Dharuhera and Bawal. We would rather say so here than have you fill in a booking we have to decline.
Lanes we do book
- Jaipur, about 230 km, south on NH-48: usually within 1 day
- Haridwar, about 260 km, where the SIDCUL estate has auto and FMCG plants: usually within 1 day via the Eastern Peripheral Expressway
- Ludhiana, about 330 km: usually within 1 day, KMP Expressway and then NH-44
- Ajmer, about 360 km: usually within 1 day
- Pantnagar, about 300 km: usually within 1 day for plants in the Uttarakhand estate there
For plant deliveries, send the plant's reporting window and vendor code with the booking. A 407 that reaches a gate after the receiving cut-off often waits for the next shift, and the driver's waiting time is part of the trip.
When to step up or down
Under about 1.1 ton, a Tata Ace (750 kg - 1,100 kg) is the cheaper option. Above 2.5 ton, go to a 14FT Eicher (3.5 ton), a 19FT Eicher (7 ton) or a container. The Eicher truck page covers the larger sizes.
Tata 407 rates in Gurugram
Truck freight rates are not fixed. What a load costs depends on the route, vehicle type, load capacity needed, cargo, pickup date and how many trucks are running that lane that week. Month-end is the tight period in Manesar: vendors push dispatches to hit plant schedules, and mid-size vehicles are booked by afternoon. Place a 407 request in the morning in the last week of the month.

What happens after you book
Enter pickup, drop, weight and date on the site or the TruckGuru app. Our team calls back within 30 minutes during working hours (Mon-Sat 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM, Sun 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM). A digital Lorry Receipt is issued at loading, the vehicle is GPS tracked until the plant gate, and a GST invoice follows. Loading and unloading labour and transit insurance are yours to arrange. Can a 407 leave Manesar at 6 PM and reach Haridwar by 7 AM?
Usually yes. The run is about 260 km and is usually delivered within 1 day. Book early in the afternoon so we can line up the vehicle before your dispatch time.
How much can the 407 carry?
About 2.5 ton. For metal parts, go by the invoice weight. If you are close to the limit, take a 14FT Eicher.
Can you deliver to a plant in Bhiwadi?
No. Bhiwadi is under 100 km from Gurugram, and we only book intercity trips over 100 km.
Is the 407 dedicated to our parts?
Yes. One vehicle per consignment, straight to your customer's gate.
Who loads at our unit?
You arrange loading and unloading labour. The driver secures the load but does not handle it.
Do we need an e-way bill for a plant supply?
For goods above 50,000 rupees, yes. The consignor or consignee generates it, usually your dispatch team.
Can we get the vehicle number in advance for the gate pass?
Yes. We share the vehicle number and driver contact once the 407 is assigned.
Can I track the 407?
Yes. GPS tracking runs from dispatch to delivery, on the app or through our team.
An employee is moving to Jaipur. Can he book a 407 for his goods?
Our trucks mostly carry business loads. For a one-off household move to another city, we can supply the truck and driver. Packing, loading and unloading are arranged by you.
What are the payment terms?
Payment is split into three parts: Booking Amount at booking confirmation, 90% at loading once the truck reaches the pickup location, and the remaining Balance at delivery before unloading begins. Accepted: NEFT, IMPS, UPI (PhonePe, GPay), and major debit and credit cards. No cash payments accepted.
Will the rate be the same next month?
Not necessarily. Rates are not fixed and move with route, date and availability, especially around month-end in Manesar. Check the live rate each time.
