Most Gurugram tempo loads never need to enter Delhi

TruckGuru's tempo service in Gurugram books a Tata Ace or Dost (up to 1,100 kg) or a Bada Dost (up to 1.5 ton) with driver, for loads going over 100 km. Rates are not fixed: quoted per trip, toll included. Alwar can be same day if loaded early; Jaipur and Chandigarh take about 1 day.

Gurugram's position is the reason it works for small intercity loads. NH-48 runs straight south to Jaipur. The KMP expressway takes a tempo north to the Sonipat and Panipat side, and on to Chandigarh, without touching Delhi's roads. The Delhi-Mumbai expressway starts near Sohna. A driver who knows these routes can have a loaded Ace out of the district in under an hour, which is rarely true of a pickup inside Delhi.

Where the loads start

Gurugram district is several different freight zones:

• Udyog Vihar Phase 1 to 6: garment exporters, sample rooms, printing and electronics assembly
• IMT Manesar and Sector 37: auto component suppliers, tool rooms and plastic moulding units
• Bilaspur, Tauru road and Pataudi road: large warehouses for e-commerce and FMCG distributors
• Farukhnagar and the KMP belt: newer warehouse parks serving north India
• Sohna Road and Golf Course Extension: office, retail and showroom stock

A warehouse load and an Udyog Vihar load behave differently. Warehouse docks run on appointment slots, and the tempo has to report on time or it loses its turn. Udyog Vihar units load from the gate, often in the evening after the day's production is packed.

Some common requests fall under our 100 km minimum and we do not take them: Delhi, Faridabad, Noida, Rewari and Neemrana are all too close. Deliveries inside Gurugram are not booked either.

Lanes and transit from Gurugram

Jaipur is the lane we would plan most carefully. NH-48 past Manesar and Dharuhera slows to a crawl around shift changes, and the Kherki Daula plaza backs up in the evening. A tempo that clears Manesar before 7 AM is in Jaipur by early afternoon. Leave at 6 PM and the same trip can take far longer.

From October to December, garment exporters in Udyog Vihar rush samples and small lots to buying agents, and festive stock leaves the Bilaspur warehouses at the same time. Book two or three days ahead in those weeks.

How big a vehicle do you actually need?

An Ace fits cartons of garments, a pallet or two of parts, or a mixed order from a warehouse. Above about 1.1 ton, or for loads longer than the Ace's deck, take a 14FT Eicher (3.5 ton). A 19FT Eicher carries 7 ton, and a 32FT container is for full plant or warehouse dispatch. Body sizes are on the truck size page; if you are unsure, send us a photo of the load on WhatsApp.

Tempo rates from Gurugram

Truck freight rates are not fixed. What a load costs depends on the route, vehicle type, load capacity needed, cargo, pickup date and how many trucks are running that lane that week. Jaipur and Chandigarh have steady tempo traffic both ways, which helps; a tempo to Lucknow may return empty, and that is part of the quote.

After you book

Share pickup, drop, weight and date on the website or the TruckGuru app. We call back within 30 minutes during working hours (Mon-Sat 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM, Sun 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM). A digital Lorry Receipt is issued at loading, the tempo is GPS tracked to delivery, and the GST invoice follows. Loading labour and transit insurance are yours to arrange. For goods above Rs.50,000, the consignor or consignee generates the e-way bill; loads to Jaipur, Chandigarh or Agra cross a state border, so check it before dispatch.

Gurugram dispatch questions

Can a tempo report at a Bilaspur warehouse at 8 AM?

Yes, give us the slot time and the gate details when you book. Share the appointment number too, because some warehouses will not let a vehicle in without it.

Do you do local deliveries within Gurugram?

No. We only book intercity trips over 100 km. Gurugram to Delhi, Noida, Faridabad or Manesar is not something we take.

How much weight does the tempo take?

A Tata Ace or Dost carries up to 1,100 kg. A Bada Dost class vehicle takes up to 1.5 ton.

Can I book a tempo to move my home things to another city?

Our trucks mostly carry business loads. For a one-off household move to another city, we can supply the truck and driver. Packing, loading and unloading are arranged by you.

Is the Gurugram to Jaipur rate fixed?

No. Rates are not fixed. They move with date, vehicle and demand, and you get the trip price with toll included at booking.

Do you have closed tempos for garment cartons?

Yes. Ask for a closed-body Ace. It keeps export cartons clean and dry, which buyers check at the other end.

Will the tempo carry anyone else's goods?

No. One consignment per vehicle. It loads your goods and drives to your receiver.

Who handles loading?

You arrange labour at both ends. At warehouses the dock team usually loads; at small units, plan for two loaders.

Can I track the tempo on the way to Chandigarh?

Yes. Every vehicle is GPS tracked from dispatch to delivery, and you can see it on the app.

What are the payment terms?

Payment is split into three parts: Booking Amount at booking confirmation, 90% at loading once the truck reaches the pickup location, and the remaining Balance at delivery before unloading begins. Accepted: NEFT, IMPS, UPI (PhonePe, GPay), and major debit and credit cards. No cash payments accepted.

My vendor in Manesar has 2 ton. Tempo or bigger?

Bigger. Two ton is over a tempo's limit; a 407-class truck or a 14FT Eicher suits it.
