Narela sits at the top of Delhi with two very different kinds of business side by side. There is the grain trade around the Anaj Mandi, where rice, wheat and pulses change hands in sacks, and there are the DSIIDC industrial sectors, where small units turn out PVC goods, footwear, packaging and processed food. Both end up with the same problem several times a month: an order of around two tonnes that has to reach a buyer in another state. A pickup cannot take it in one go, and a 19FT Eicher leaves most of the deck empty.

Where Narela orders go

Narela has an easy exit. The unit is a few minutes from the Singhu side of NH-44, so trucks going north skip Delhi traffic completely. Southbound and eastbound trips are the opposite. A 407 heading for Jaipur or Lucknow has to cross or skirt the city, and a dispatch at 5 PM can lose two hours before it reaches open road. For those lanes we prefer early morning loading. Grain sacks and plastic cartons load differently

Sacked grain is dense. Two and a half tonnes of rice takes up a small part of a 407 deck, so the weight limit is reached long before the space. Tell us the true bag count and bag weight; a guess of "around 50 bags" often turns out to be 70.

PVC pipes, footwear cartons and molded plastic are the reverse. They fill the body well before they touch 2.5 ton. For light, bulky goods, share the carton size and count, and we will say whether a 407 holds it or whether a 14FT Eicher is the better call. Long pipe bundles in particular can overhang a 407 deck.

Monsoon matters here. Grain must stay dry, so ask for a tarpaulin cover or a covered body when you book between July and September.

If a 407 is the wrong size

For lots under a tonne, a Tata Ace is cheaper and easier to place at a small shop. Above 2.5 ton, book a 14FT Eicher (3.5 ton) or a 19FT Eicher (7 ton); full mill dispatches usually go in a 32FT container. Deck lengths for each are listed on the truck size page. We do not run deliveries inside Delhi; every trip we book is over 100 km.

From booking to the buyer's gate

Book online or through the TruckGuru app with pickup point, drop point, weight and date. We call back within 30 minutes (Mon-Sat 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM, Sun 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM) to confirm the vehicle. Before the 407 reaches you, you get the vehicle number and the driver's phone.

At loading you get a digital Lorry Receipt. The 407 is GPS tracked until it reaches the unloading point, and the GST invoice follows delivery. For goods worth over 50,000 rupees the consignor or consignee generates the e-way bill; grain trades often carry mandi documents too, so keep them with the driver. Loading labour and transit insurance are arranged by you.

How 407 rates from Narela are set

Truck freight rates are not fixed. What a load costs depends on the route, vehicle type, load capacity needed, cargo, pickup date and how many trucks are running that lane that week. After the wheat and paddy harvests, small trucks around the mandi get booked out fast, so plan two or three days ahead in April-May and October-November.

Questions from Narela godowns and units

How many 50 kg bags go in a 407?

By weight, about 50 bags make 2.5 ton, which is the limit. Space is not the issue with grain; weight is. For more than that, book a 14FT Eicher.

Can the 407 go from Narela to Chandigarh the same day?

It is about 220 km on NH-44, usually delivered within 1 day by truck.

Do you do trips to Rohini or Azadpur?

No. Those are inside Delhi and under 100 km. We only book intercity trips.

My load is PVC pipe, 20 ft long. Will a 407 work?

Probably not. The 407 deck is shorter than that, and overhang is unsafe. A 19FT or longer Eicher suits long pipe.

Is the rate for Narela to Ludhiana fixed?

No. Rates are not fixed and move with date, load and truck supply. You see the trip price, toll included, when you book.

Who loads the sacks?

Your labour or the mandi palledars. Loading and unloading labour is arranged by the customer. The driver ties and covers the load.

What are the payment terms?

Payment is split into three parts: Booking Amount at booking confirmation, 90% at loading once the truck reaches the pickup location, and the remaining Balance at delivery before unloading begins. Accepted: NEFT, IMPS, UPI (PhonePe, GPay), and major debit and credit cards. No cash payments accepted.

Can I track the 407 while it is on the road?

Yes, GPS tracking runs from dispatch to delivery. You can share it with the buyer so they know when to keep labour ready.

Can one 407 drop at two buyers in Panipat and Karnal?

Tell us at booking. Each booking is one consignment on one truck, so multiple drops need to be agreed in advance and priced in.

Do you move personal goods too?

Our trucks mostly carry business loads. For a one-off household move to another city, we can supply the truck and driver. Packing, loading and unloading are arranged by you.

Is an open or covered 407 better for footwear cartons?

Covered, or an open body with a good tarpaulin. Cartons crush when wet. Mention the cargo at booking and we assign accordingly.
