Hire a Truck in Nagpur for Intercity Freight
Nagpur sits at almost the exact geographic centre of India -- the point where NH-44 (the north-south corridor from Srinagar to Kanyakumari) crosses NH-53 (the east-west corridor). That junction matters for freight. A truck moving goods from Hyderabad to Delhi passes through Nagpur. So does one going from Mumbai to Kolkata. Nagpur is not just a freight origin point; it's a node in India's national goods movement network.
For businesses booking intercity FTL freight from Nagpur specifically, TruckGuru offers confirmed-rate truck booking with GPS tracking and digital documentation. The truck and driver come to your pickup address. The rate is fixed at booking. There are no separate charges added after loading.

What Moves from Nagpur
Nagpur anchors the Vidarbha region -- Maharashtra's eastern agricultural and industrial belt. Cotton from Vidarbha's extensive farming areas moves through Nagpur toward textile mills in Surat, Coimbatore, and Ludhiana. Oranges from the region, which gives Nagpur its "Orange City" nickname, move in season toward Mumbai and Delhi wholesale markets.
The Butibori MIDC -- one of Maharashtra's largest industrial estates, about 30 km from Nagpur city -- generates engineering goods, textiles, and general manufacturing freight. Hingna MIDC adds auto parts and light engineering to the outbound mix. FMCG distribution is also significant: Nagpur is a major stocking and redistribution point for central India, with goods moving outward to Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Telangana from Nagpur's distribution centres.
For heavy or high-value cargo requiring enclosed transport, see container truck transport.
Pickup Areas in Nagpur
- Butibori MIDC -- Maharashtra's largest industrial estate, 30 km from city centre; engineering, textiles, mixed manufacturing
- Hingna MIDC -- auto components, light engineering, general manufacturing
- Kamptee Road industrial corridor -- mixed manufacturing and warehousing belt
- Wardha Road industrial areas -- between Nagpur and the MIDC belt, trading and distribution
- MIHAN SEZ (Multi-modal International Hub Nagpur) -- aerospace, IT, and logistics park on the eastern side
- Sitabuldi and Itwari -- city centre commercial and trading addresses
Nagpur as a Transit Hub
Because of its central position, Nagpur is also a natural rest stop for long-distance north-south and east-west truck runs. A truck moving from Chennai to Delhi on NH-44 covers roughly 1,200 km before reaching Nagpur -- about halfway. Similarly, a Mumbai-to-Kolkata run on NH-53 passes through Nagpur at approximately the midpoint. For shippers whose supply chain uses Nagpur as a waypoint rather than a final destination, the GPS tracking through the TruckGuru app shows position throughout the transit, including through Nagpur's stretch.
Track in-transit shipments through the TruckGuru mobile app.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are Nagpur's main industrial areas for freight pickup?
Butibori MIDC and Hingna MIDC are the primary industrial estates. Butibori is one of Maharashtra's largest, about 30 km from the city centre. The Kamptee Road and Wardha Road corridors add additional manufacturing and warehousing addresses. MIHAN SEZ on the eastern side is growing as an aerospace and logistics hub.
Does TruckGuru offer international freight, sea shipping, or air cargo from Nagpur?
No. TruckGuru books domestic road FTL transport only -- intercity truck movement within India. International shipping, sea freight, air cargo, and customs clearance are not part of what TruckGuru offers.
Why is Nagpur considered a central freight hub?
Nagpur sits at the geographic centre of India where NH-44 (north-south) and NH-53 (east-west) intersect. Trucks moving between Mumbai and Kolkata, or between Hyderabad and Delhi, pass through or near Nagpur. This central location makes it both a direct freight origin point and a major transit node.
Is insurance included in the booking?
No. Cargo insurance is arranged separately by the shipper and is not part of the booking rate.
Can TruckGuru pick up from Butibori MIDC?
Yes. Butibori and Hingna MIDC are active pickup zones on the platform. Confirm the specific address at booking to ensure the correct gate or unit is noted for the driver.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is TruckGuru?
TruckGuru LLP is a full truckload (FTL) intercity truck booking platform with offices in Vadodara and Bangalore, covering 110+ cities across India. We show you the freight cost before you book, match the right truck to your cargo, and handle the booking from pickup to delivery.
How do I book a truck?
Three ways: book online at truckguru.co.in, use the TruckGuru app, or call 72020 45678. Enter your pickup and drop city, select the truck type, and check the estimated fare. Once you confirm, pay the token amount and our team places the vehicle at your pickup location.
How can I check the freight cost for my route?
Use the freight calculator on our website -- enter the pickup city, drop city, and truck type. You will see an estimated fare instantly. No login needed, no obligation. The final rate is confirmed by our executive after verifying your exact locations, material weight, and goods type.
What truck types are available?
Tata Ace (1,250 kg), Bada Dost and Mahindra Pickup (up to 1.5 ton), Eicher 14ft (3.5 ton), 17ft (5 ton), 19ft (7 ton), 20ft Container (6.5 ton), and 32ft Container in SXL (7-8 ton), MXL (16 ton), and MXL (18 ton) variants. Not sure which fits your load? Call us and our team will recommend the right vehicle based on weight and volume.
What are the payment terms?
A token amount at booking confirmation, 90% of the fare at the time of loading, and the remaining balance at the destination before unloading. We accept NEFT, IMPS, UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), and all major debit and credit cards.
Is the online estimate the final fare?
No. The website shows an estimated cost based on standard distance. The final fare is confirmed by our executive after verifying your exact pickup and drop location, material weight, and goods type. On most routes the final rate stays close to the estimate, but it can vary for off-highway locations or routes requiring detours.
What are the waiting charges?
If the truck reaches your location and loading is delayed, waiting charges range from Rs.1,000 to Rs.5,000 per day depending on the vehicle type. If the vehicle is not loaded and returns empty, the customer must pay driver fuel charges plus the waiting charge.
What are the GST charges on freight?
GST on goods transport is payable under the Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) at 5%. The shipper is responsible for filing and paying the GST, not TruckGuru. Our invoices are GST-compliant and sent to your registered email after delivery.
Who generates the e-Way Bill?
The consignor or consignee must generate Part A and Part B of the e-Way Bill before the goods move. This is mandatory for consignments valued above Rs.50,000. TruckGuru does not generate the e-Way Bill on your behalf.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes. Call 72020 45678 to request cancellation. Once vehicle or driver details have been shared, the booking amount is non-refundable. If the truck has already been dispatched, no refund is issued and fuel charges apply. Approved cancellations are refunded (minus cancellation fee) within 7 working days.
Do you provide loading, unloading, or packing?
Our service covers transportation only. If you need labour for loading or unloading, we can help arrange it at extra cost, but we do not guarantee third-party labour services. The quoted freight rate does not include labour charges.
Do you handle parcels, courier, or car transport?
No. TruckGuru provides full truckload (FTL) intercity goods transport only. We do not handle parcels, courier, bike transport, car transport, household shifting, or within-city local deliveries.
Tips for Booking a Truck
Start with the weight and type of goods you need to move, not the truck size. A 2-ton consignment fits an Eicher 14FT (3.5T capacity), while anything above 7 tons usually needs a 32FT container. Picking the right vehicle upfront saves you from paying for space you do not use.
Always get a confirmed rate before the truck is dispatched. On TruckGuru, the price shown at booking is the price you pay. The payment split is 5% at booking, 90% at loading, and 5% before unloading. If any platform or broker tries to revise the rate at the loading dock, treat that as a red flag.
Check that the transporter provides live GPS tracking and digital documentation including LR, invoice, and POD. Calling the driver every few hours for location updates wastes time, especially on high-volume corridors where even a small delay can throw off your warehouse unloading schedule.
Book 2 to 3 days ahead when possible. Same-day availability is common on most routes, but during October to December peak season, trucks on busy corridors fill up fast. Advance booking also gives you better vehicle options for goods that need closed-body or containerised transport.
