TruckGuru's tempo service in Navi Mumbai books a Tata Ace or Dost (up to 1,100 kg) or a Bada Dost (up to 1.5 ton) with driver, for intercity loads over 100 km. Rates are not fixed; each trip is quoted at booking, toll included. Pune and Nashik are same day possible; Surat and Kolhapur take 1 day.
A pickup in Navi Mumbai is never just "Navi Mumbai". Rabale is not Kharghar, and the difference shows on the clock. The northern nodes, Airoli, Rabale, Mahape and Turbhe, sit on Thane-Belapur Road beside the TTC industrial area. Vashi has the APMC markets. Nerul and CBD Belapur are office and service areas. Kalamboli, Kamothe and Kharghar lead down to Panvel and the Pune road. A tempo loading in Rabale for Surat heads north through Airoli and joins the Gujarat highway near Thane; the same tempo loading in Kalamboli for Surat would lose time crossing back up. So on the callback we ask for the node and sector first, and plan the exit from there.
What the nodes send out
- TTC MIDC (Rabale, Mahape, Turbhe, Pawne): chemicals and resins in sealed drums, pharma packs, electrical panels and engineering spares
- Vashi APMC: dry fruits, spices, pulses and packed grocery for distributors in Pune, Nashik and Kolhapur
- Kalamboli steel market: cut sheet, pipes and fittings in small lots, which is where weight climbs fastest
- Belapur and Nerul: office equipment, IT hardware and printed material going to branch offices
- Warehouses along the Sion-Panvel highway: e-commerce and FMCG stock for Surat and Pune
We do not do deliveries within Navi Mumbai, and Mumbai, Thane and Kalyan are all under 100 km from here, so those runs are outside what we book.

These are upper figures. Pune is the lane Navi Mumbai does best: the Expressway starts a few kilometres from Kalamboli, and a tempo that loads by 11 AM usually reaches Chakan or Bhosari the same day. Thane-Belapur Road is the slow point for the northern nodes. Between 5 PM and 8 PM it crawls, so a Gujarat-bound tempo from Rabale is better loaded before 4 PM or after 8 PM.
Know when a tempo is not enough
Two loads regularly outgrow the Ace. Kalamboli steel, because five or six bundles of pipe already pass 1.1 ton. And APMC stock before festivals, when a distributor's order jumps from 40 bags to 150. For either, book a 14FT Eicher (3.5 ton) or a 17FT. Details are on the Eicher page and hire truck in Navi Mumbai. If you are loading from the Thane side of the belt, hire truck in Thane may suit better.
Chemical loads need a word too. Tell us exactly what is in the drums when you book. Some cargo goes on any tempo, some needs a specific vehicle, and some we decline.
Tempo rates from Navi Mumbai
Truck freight rates are not fixed. What a load costs depends on the route, vehicle type, load capacity needed, cargo, pickup date and how many trucks are running that lane that week. From Navi Mumbai, Pune tempos are available most days, while Ahmedabad and Goa can take a day to line up in the weeks before Diwali.

Booking to delivery, step by step
Book on the website or the TruckGuru app with node and sector, drop city, weight and date. We call back within 30 minutes during working hours (Mon-Sat 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM, Sun 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM). The tempo carries only your goods. A digital Lorry Receipt is issued at loading, GPS tracking runs until delivery, and the GST invoice follows after delivery.
You arrange loading and unloading labour and any transit insurance. For goods above Rs.50,000, the consignor or consignee generates the e-way bill.

Can a tempo pick up from TTC MIDC Rabale and reach Pune today?
Yes, if it loads by late morning. Pune is about 125 km, so same day is possible, depending on the loading time and traffic on Thane-Belapur Road.
Do you do local deliveries within Navi Mumbai?
No. We only book intercity trips over 100 km. Vashi to Panvel, or Navi Mumbai to Andheri or Thane, is too short for us.
What is the weight limit for one tempo?
A Tata Ace or Dost carries up to 1,100 kg. A Bada Dost takes up to 1.5 ton. Heavier than that, go for a 14FT Eicher.
I have 20 drums of resin. Can you take them?
Tell us the product and its details on the callback. Many chemical loads are fine on a standard tempo; some need a specific vehicle, and a few we do not carry.
Can the tempo come into the APMC market yard?
Usually yes, within the market timings. Share the market, wing and shop number so the driver reaches the right gate.
Is the tempo rate fixed for Navi Mumbai to Surat?
No. Rates are not fixed. Each trip is quoted at booking with toll included, and the figure moves with date and vehicle availability.
Do I need an e-way bill for Surat?
Yes, if the goods are worth more than Rs.50,000, because the trip crosses into Gujarat. The consignor or consignee generates it.
Is the tempo open or closed?
Both are available. Ask for a closed body for cartons, pharma or anything that must stay dry in the monsoon.
Who loads the goods at our unit?
You arrange loading and unloading labour at both ends. The driver helps tie and cover the load.
What are the payment terms?
Payment is split into three parts: Booking Amount at booking confirmation, 90% at loading once the truck reaches the pickup location, and the remaining Balance at delivery before unloading begins. Accepted: NEFT, IMPS, UPI (PhonePe, GPay), and major debit and credit cards. No cash payments accepted.
Can I book a tempo to take my home goods to another city?
Our trucks mostly carry business loads. For a one-off household move to another city, we can supply the truck and driver. Packing, loading and unloading are arranged by you.

Every vehicle is GPS tracked from dispatch to delivery. You can follow it on the app or ask our team on call.
